Yes I know, but man, trust me; I've played baseball my whole life, and have attended countless games. My uncle's a scout for the San Francisco Giants, so I live in a baseball family and would like to think I've been immersed in our pastime well enough, to know and seen how the ball plays under different conditions and circumstances. I can tell you that what I saw was physically impossible. A ball "tailing" is one thing, but a ball that completely changes its flight path on a dime, is simply ridiculous.

It appeared that by the way the ball just shot off on a 90* angle, it had hit an invisible pole, stuck in right field. The thing is though, after hitting this "invisible pole" the ball didn't even appear to of have lost any momentum and just carried off out of the stadium at Camden Yards.

The ball WAS slightly tailing, as most foul balls do when ripped down the line, but I again say, NO BALL can turn on a DIME (split second), to the opposite direction like that. Impossible.

To understand what I’m talking about, just throw a wiffle ball at the corner of a wall or doorframe. That’s how this ball moved, not once, but TWICE!

There is some precedent for this abelt it being for a DVD. The BACK TO THE FUTURE boxset had some issues with the aspect ratio on the widescreen version. Things that should be seen was cropped slightly. Those who had the defected discs were allowed to trade it in for the "corrected" version.

Yeah, i remember that. BTTF was the only DVD that on Widescreen u would lose some part of the screen.

This isn't a case of a few defective disks, it's a problem with the code. Of course, if I remember correctly, didn't EA send out patches or new disks a couple years ago for Madden?

Yes they did. NCAA draft rosters would not import into Madden. There was new build and re-mastering of the game. In the Video Game world though, that is a rare exception, and to this day, EA doing it blows me away. Didn't understand though, they did it for Madden, but not last years MVP with the player progressing broken, no Left handed HR and CPU never steal. I would have thought they would have done it again, but I guess if MVP sold like Madden, we would have had a new disc. (Don't you feel the love as a money paying fan???)

I've only seen one odd occurrence so far:

I am playing as the A's, and as Eric Chavez comes to the plate, the game goes to a split screen cut scene, half showing Boston's pitcher, and the other half showing Chavez step in the box as a right handed hitter.

When the game went back to the normal screen, Chavez was hitting from his normal left side, but I thought it was pretty humorous. No big deal.

Consider yourself lucky. I've had to deal with the passed ball issue (it's not a "bug"), the stupid pitcher catching everything, and the second baseman glitch that I posted yesterday, and the game locking up on me. I was playing the fourth game of my franchise against Baltimore. It happened after the first pitch I threw from Mariano in the top of the ninth. To make matters worse, when I replayed the game I got hammered.

Never mind guys. I'm ********. My solution is to the pitcher catching everything, not the passed balls. I thought something was wrong with what I was typing. Good news is that the pitcher problem is more serious to gameplay than the passed balls.
