I'm getting a variety of hits & scoring on a variety of hits also. It's more difficult thought due to the over-programmed CPU arms. HR's are still my main way of scoring thought. If you like drop the Power Slider a couple of clicks & raise the contact slider the same amount of clicks.

Joe, I'm just curious what VIP settings you are using?? Also what presentation settings and audio are you using?

joe, auto diveback off do anything for hits up the middle and your idiot runners dive back?........also i dont beleive there is any broken bat option anymore nor have i even seen 1 broken bat in 21 games for 360, and also not one time have i seen a batter helmet come off while running like they said would happen

I hate that animation... I'm not sure if Assisted Baserunning eliminates that. As for the Broken Bat Frequency. I believe you are correct, that it's not in the game. I actually copied & pasted the options from another thread,& filled-in the blanks.

Can't fire-up my 360 as were watching TV right now.

the broken bat is in there, but ive only seen it once in over 30 games.

over the past 5 days i have been completely without 1 realistic game. I have gotten things to where the computer's stats are realistic, but i get over 20 hits per game. i have lowered my contact slider all the way down to 10 and i still keep getting base hits i know im the mets and all but come on lol. are therer any other sliders i could drop . i am using swing stick, will the button method be better?

Maybe try bumping up the AI pitcher sliders? Put AI corner, location and change speed up to 90-100. Just a thought.

i just put my contact at 0 and power at 5, put the ai pitchers sliders all the way up, didnt hit for power at all just contact swung and proceeded to just hit base hit after base hit, 22 runs on 35 hits, the nationals changed so many pichers, armas ended up just coming in every pitching change, the manager came out and they introduced himas if he was a new pitcher. ive been a fan of this game thus far and it just seems to have worn out its welcome in my house. just not my cup of tea. its obvious to play sim baseball i would have to try to get out or try to "not hit" moreso thn try to win and thats not what im looking for. as much as i wish, this is just an arcade game and not a simulation of proffesional baseball. idk, i dont want to ruin this game for anyone and if your really enjoying the game as a sim, i applaud you and i wish i was in your shoes, really, but this after madden, and a list of dissapointments, im just so frustrated and idk questioning my future of playing video games. seems like a waste of money, time, and anger.

Don't know. I use the classic method of hitting because I thought the swing stick was way too forgiving, but I never saw that many hits using the swing stick. At least not after I messed with the sliders.

I really don't know what to say renegade... Have you tried raising the pitch speed? That might help. If not, sorry your not enjoying the game.

Yeah Renegade, I've been having the same problems with the regular XBOX. Just way too easy to get a ton of base hits and doubles with the swing stick. I have contact on 0 and I keep bringing the power down (I don't like it too low because I very rarely use the power swing). I also have the CPU Corner and Change Speed very high. I'm going to keep experimenting with sliders (such as increasing the CPU Fielder Speed more and more) but it's starting to look like I might just have to edit all my batter's ratings. I think I might just knock their Average and Doubles ratings down 35% or so to start. Not ideal, but that might just be how it has to be.

if you adjust the sliders from rookie, can you still unlock achievments because it will them be custome??

From what I've seen, if you adjust the sliders at all, you can't get achievments. You have to be on PRO or above with no slider adjustments.

I'm using bigfnjoe's sliders and hit 3 HR's one game with Jason Bay and didn't get the achievment points. Then I went into an exhibition game and played default PRO and got the achievment points (took a few games to do so!).

dude what difficulty are you on? i am using joes legend sliders and sometimes i get 17 hits, others i get under 10. i am the yankees and i am 22-9 so far. ive been having some really solid competitive game. (and we know the yanks have the best lineup in baseball) =P

have you tried raising the cpu skill as well?
