    Sliders vs. Player Ratings

If a certain slider was set to '0' maybe contact, power ect. Would the players rating be the only thing thats comes into play?

I would like to know this also. What, if any, slider would be set at for the player attributes to take full affect. If anybody knows.

lets try it. It makes sense for some sliders. The one slider that u cannot put at zero is pitch speed I did that once , and OMG its hilarious. Try it and see how slow the pitch comes in. U can swing 3 times befor the pitch reaches home plate.

Well, since there are about four difficulty levels in the game, sliders for each difficulty. Would this mean if no sliders were in the game, the settings would be at zero? Yes i do understand about the pitch speed. If there were no sliders in the game, wouldn't it have to play off of attributes?

Thats what I'm thinking. I'm going to play a three game series with most sliders that have to do with human actions set at zero. I'll post my boxscores as well as the sliders I had set at zero.

              Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings

Guys I have been working on something like this for the last few weeks because I wanted to stop messing with sliders every game and just play. So my thought is put the sliders at a setting where its not a boost or a minus to the actual player ratings and just let the games play out the way they should. So this is what I have come up with and it giving me good games.

I FORGOT ONE THING " DO NOT USE THE PUSH UP POWER SWING WITH THESE SLIDERS "

I use Swing Stick and Zone 1 Pitching

All Sliders that are not listed below are at (50)

              HUMAN
              Step Influence (100)
              Pitcher Difficulty (100)
              Base Running Speed (100)
              Infield Errors (80)
              Outfield Errors (80)
              Speed Boost (0)
              Speed Boost Power (0)
              Pitcher Fatigue (35)
              Interface Speed (85)
              Pitch Speed (60)

              AI
              Infield Errors (80)
              Outfield Errors (80)
              Fielder Aggression (20)
              Stealing Success (55)
              Run Aggression (60)
              Steal Home (0)
              Pitcher Difficulty (0)
              Effectiveness Mod (75)
              Meat Pitch (0)

This is the one thing i've been trying to find out. Since there are sliders in the game, what would the slider settings have to be set at, that would equivilate to just the player attributes?

In theory, you don't have a to have a setting set at 0 for player ratings to matter.

For example, if we talk about contact and power. The settings obviously increase or decrease a particular attribute. So as long as you have both contact and power at the same setting, then everyone gets the same "boost" and then the only thing that is different from player to player are the individual attributes.

What about A.I pitching options are they all left at default. If so are you getting a realistic amount of balls and strikes, and pitch counts?

Yes Nico they are all at 50, you will see at least 2-4 walks a game including some wild pitches as long as you are patient at the plate.

MMan I think that 50 is where only attributes matter since most games use the Pro level as the default, such as madden. So anything above or below that number would then boost or lower the attributes.
