Sounds good, the thing with these sliders is you will have to accept somethings that might drive other people crazy. Like the OF's may get to a ball that they shouldnt once in awhile or you might have 1 game that has 15 hits on both sides but the next game there are only 6 or 7. Things like this I love because with these sliders each game feels different and not the same game just played with different uniforms. But some people on here want games to fit into a small little box that they think is sim. Perfect example is the Red Sox banging out 4 HRs in a row aganist the Yanks, if that happened in this game people would be saying that so and so's sliders suck because you hit to many HRs. Well every MLB game is different and thats how it should be in MLB 2K7 and with these sliders thats exactly what you will get. So give them a try for a few games and let me know what you think. I feel a great sense of relief now with these because I'm actually playing and not feeling the burden of looking for things to tweak with the sliders every game or inning.

So true. Not every game should play the same. Games should be 2-0 pitchers duels and 14-3 blowouts. What matters is at the end of the season you should be right around the MLB average, and NOT around the MLB average every game. And i think some people forget that...Comment

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
I'm not saying I'm the expert on this but thats the feeling that I'm getting playing this game and also I remember in Madden a few years back reading that the Pro level was the default level that was used in the game with no boost give to the cpu or human. Those pro level sliders were all at 50 and if you look at the Pro level in this game most of them are at 50 or very close to it.Last edited by DanSF49; 04-26-2007, 12:56 PM.Comment

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
Guys here are the results in the last 9 games that I have played with these sliders. I randomly choose starting pitchers and teams for each game just to test them out with all kinds of teams. Teams with a star in front of them are is team that I was using for that game.
*Mets - 6
Devil Rays - 3
Yankees - 7
*Cubs - 2
Dodgers - 8
*Nationals - 4
Angels - 3
*D'Backs - 2
Reds - 4
*Mariners - 0
Marlins - 5
*Phillies - 4
Rockies - 13
*Blue Jays - 1
*Red Sox - 9 (I allowed 5 in the first but held them down after that)
Giants - 5
A's - 11
*Royals - 3Last edited by DanSF49; 04-26-2007, 01:10 PM.Comment

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
Dan, i appreciate it. I'm not fussing, i've always wanted to know how a game could be played with just the attributes kicking in, if at all possible. Thank you for explaining it to me. It would be safe to say that you still wouldn't be able to play with every setting at 50?
Tried it but you really can't use 50 for every single slider, like errors at 50 you will only see 1 once every 10 games, Pitcher Interface Speed needs to be between 85-100 and Base running at 50 with the throwing sliders at 50 you would have no chance to beat out anything.Comment

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
What I noticed so far.
U can have the infield speed, all throwing power , reaction speed, speed burtst all at 0 and not have a problem with the game. Base runner speed at 0 also and not have a problem. Now with outfielder speed at 0 u can have a problem So iam messing with it at 25 to see how that works.
U cannot have the pitcing sliders at 0 u will get a bunch of balls. So everything at 50 for pitching is perfect. Just not the last 3 sliders.
Which are pitch out , fatigue , and meat pitch.
AI Hitting still working on it, but its pretty crazy on how u can have certain sliders at dead 0 and not have a propblem.Last edited by Tyrant8RDFL; 04-26-2007, 03:15 PM.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
Keep it coming Tyrant I'm interested on seeing what you come up with also, then maybe we can combine our 2 sets and come up with a perfect set that will use only the player ratings. Well I guess as close as we can get it. Looking forward to it.Comment

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
We will nail it. I can feel it. I will list what iam playing with in a few hours. I want to play a few games, plus with the kids home i cant side railed but I will post it up later, and u can tell me what u have and why, and Ill do the same.
This way we can all have a clear understanding of what exactly the sliders do, but for sure u can have all the sliders i mentioned aboved at zero and really enjoy it.
ill Be back later.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

Re: Sliders vs. Player Ratings
Relying on attributes alone may not exactly be the answer. If Kush didn't program certain mechanics properly, or balance everything accordingly, you could end up worse than the default settings. I mean, in 2K6, there was no slider for fielder throwing power, so technically the game ran specifically on attributes. However, we could see the super human abilities in the 2K6 outfielders. Just a thought, not trying to be a buzzkill.Comment
