Maybe you already mentioned this, but is your fatigue slider set anywhere higher than 30? Cause I'd say that's about the maximum it should be, imo.

But...........they shouldn't have. This "dynamic" setting seems to work in a bad way when you are the lesser team, it makes them play to (down) the level of the crappy guys on my overmatched team.
That makes sense, though. I mean, it's not hard to believe that the CPU would get confused and think that your crappy guys were in fact you playing crappy, and thus overcompensating. I'm still not sure why you'd go 10-1 though, or why you'd have a guy hitting .441, unless your initial sliders were too easy to begin with. From everything I've seen, it just doesn't make sense that you could turn off DD and all of a sudden start losing games. It's gotta be your initial sliders.

        Re: Dynamic Difficulty Experiment

Doesnt the definition of the DD slider suggest that it compensates to create a competitive game? It does not say that it compensates only one way (making the cpu play up to us - likely so we do not tire of the game by blowing out the cpu)....Logic tells me that if my team is say........2 stars, and the cpu is 4, that the DD option makes this game competitive, even though it should not be - this is why I do not like the option.

It can only do the following in the described scenario:

        1) make the cpu 4* guys play down to make it a game
        2) make my 2* guys play above their rating
        3) do a little of both 1 and 2 making everyone almost equal.

Don't misunderstand me here........the games were all very close, all coming down to the final innings which was fun - just not realistic for my taste.

No no, I didn't misunderstand you. I was saying I think your complaint is valid, and that it makes sense the CPU/DD would do that. I was just trying to add that it may have a lot to do with your initial sliders, too. Supposing you made a slider set that was ridiculously hard, for example, throwing on DD isn't going to have you going 10-1 instantly.

            Re: Dynamic Difficulty Experiment

DD is probably better suited for people that had dominant teams and were finding the game too easy.

If the game was still difficult for you then why put Dynamic Difficulty on?

I have lost my last 5 games and love it. After raising the pitch speed and AI skill slightly, the CPU has been scoring a good amount. My HR per batter is up to 16 now as well. Good stuff.

                  Re: Dynamic Difficulty Experiment

I play with default sliders on all star, but in the last few games ive turned dynamic difficulty ON. Can't really tell what difference it made but I'm just gonna leave it ON i think unless my 4 game losing streak continues, but I think its only bc I am the Twins and lost Mauer and White to injury

that is exactly who it is for.........that is my point. I am just finding it flawed when you throw crap guys in as opposed to your starters and the CPU boosts YOUR ratings to make the game competitive.

I went back ot turning it off.........usign the same sliders, with the same crap guys and I am gettign pasted - as I should.

Yeah, pitch speed seems to be on like 80 with these. Maybe it will lower itself.

And I had a starter pitch like 50 pitches before having about 20% stamina. So I hope that changes.
