Nice sliders BFJ. I tweaked for my own liking, but your fielding was dead on IMO. The low ratings work because the ball is coming off the bat at a normal speed. Hitting power really effects the fielding IMO.

As soon as I drop AI-Power below 50, I get 'Custom-P'. Third time in a row trying this following the exact directions. Arggghhh.

EDIT: Was just able to drop AI Hitting Power to 35 after bumping up the AK Skill to 30. Weird how some of us are having this problem and others aren't...

Supposedly many feel there's no difference. I say set-up your Franchise & go for it. BTW don't forget that the sliders need to be set-up in Franchise as they don't follow your VIP into Franchise

Hey BFJ,

I guess I'm a little too lazy to learn/master the new total control pitching, so I was wondering what would a good Human Pitcher setting for classic pitching. I was using the last slider set with classic pitching, and I wasn't have stellar games, but I have noticed that I get a lot of K's with the CPU looking. So, I was wondering if there's a particular slider that I should think about tweaking, as classic pitching is much easier than the Total Control. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I've noticed that since the patch there is a slight change with some sliders as far as how they determine levels like pro, all-star, etc. The new sliders I posted were all-star before the patch (and still are on the franchise I had saved before the patch), but the exact same set are Pro with a new franchise after the patch.

That might be the reason people are seeing different things.

yup, i'm pretty sure this is the issue. seen it mentioned multiple times in other threads and on other forums.

as i said a few posts back, just bump up the AI Hitting 'Skill' slider to 30 if you need the peace of mind knowing the sliders are considered "advanced".

Bahnzo, I'm starting to believe that once in Franchise the Sliders take a life of their own. Especially now since the PATCH. In exhibition games, my games are fun & competitive, so I create a Chise & get slaughtered in the 1st 2 games big-time. WEIRD

That #@$%##@ Skill Slider is driving me nuts. It really seems like there's no middle ground with it. It's either set it to 0 or set-it to 100. I think I have Fielding & Pitching right where they should be, I just can't find a set for Hitting that I'm comfortable with..

after a few more franchise games, i think you'll notice things will start to balance out. i was getting slaughtered with my jays franchise (lost my first seven games), but since then, i had a three-game winning streak and then would win some, lose some... mostly all close games too. i think this slider set is great. definitely your best yet, at least in regards to my skill level (can't speak for everyone else). as i said previously, the only adjustment i had to make was to bump up the AI Hitting 'Skill' slider to 30 in order for the sliders to appear as 'Custom-A'. otherwise, i've done no tweaking at all.

Q, are you seeing the AI getting more doubles in the gap, than usual? I'm seeing this a lot. Last game I played the AI had 7 doubles. All in the gaps. It's like he AI magically finds the gap @ will

I really think the difficult part is finding the right balance between the skill and the power sliders, they both affect each other. I've started to think of them like this: the power is just as important for singles as it is for homers, and the skill slider is more of a "gaps" or "doubles" slider than anything else. More power = less skill.

Finding acceptable hitting slider settings is impossible partly due to the fact that hot/cold teams is in the code and can not be turned off. I was told directly from 2K this information. I believe once you start a season the sliders become dynamic and change according to hot/cold code. I would get great results in exhibition games with my sliders but franchise is the complete opposite.
