hey blazzen, can you use these for classic hitting? that is what I use. could I bump up the user power to 60 for classic hitting? othewise, these look like a good set. I'm using a custom set i kinda made with my Indians franchise and Phil Hughes just threw a 4 hit complete game on me. Lost 6-1.

In 5 games using user 40/50 and cpu 50/60 batting:

CPU: 3.2 runs, 9.8 Hits, .2 HR
USER:5.6 runs, 9.4 Hits, .6 HR

CPU runs are too low, hits too high. Not enough power and not enough walks leading to the low run totals for the amount of hits they are getting. Guessing maybe 50 contact is helping the inflated hit totals, strikeouts have been lower too. For the CPU I think I'm going to raise power back up to 70 but lower contact to 45. 45/70 cpu batting.

User hit totals are a little high, power is too low, runs are slightly high. I expect this Braves team to be a high scoring team, 93 batting after all. I'm going to lower contact to 35, K's have been lower, maybe I've been more disciplined at the plate. Going to raise power by 5 for right now, if HR's are still too low I'll go back up to 60, but for now, 35/55 user batting.

Pitched out of a first inning bases loaded 1 out jam with Huddy w/o giving up a run. Rest of the game was some clutch hitting from Heyward. Power still felt somewhat lacking, did hit one ball to the wall with Uggla but other than that I had some batters eyes light up the middle of the zone and put a good power swing on the ball only to hit a lazy fly ball.

No thoughts on what remaining stamina/energy you should pull your pitchers at with these sliders Blazzen? Have you been keeping stats like pitches thrown and strike to balls ratio?

My games probably average 120 pitches per side. Strike ratio varies but is about right, 60-65% strikes usually.

What I do with pitch count is if they start giving up hits once they reach the bottom threshold of the pitch count I pull them. Basically have a really short leash once you hit the bottom range of the pitch count. If they are still doing ok, leave them in until the top range of it but do not exceed it as they will most likely get injured very quickly.

I hear ya, it's tough to get a good balance. I find the increment of 5 sliders to be difficult to work with. I use 50/40 for user. I MASH! 12 runs a game.

I put it to 45/40, 50/35, and I can't hit at all. I can't score more than 1 run. Ugh.. I'll get it though

I'm going to 35/60 for user. I had high run totals at 40/60 for user batting but that also had cpu pitch success at only 60 and it's now 75.

CPU batting at 45/70 will hopefully be good too. CPU at 50/70 averaged 10 hits which is a bit much, maybe at 45 contact the hits are cut down a bit and hopefully K's don't balloon.

They vary a good bit from the overall numbers in some categories. If you play with a NL team I would base your number comparisons off of these.

Started with these as my base a while back and haven't checked in in a while. Wanted to comment that dropping the AI composure slider to zero really helped even out the competitive feel. Before that I was always trying to decide how to move user power and contact to make up for the one or two innings when I really piled on the runs. Now I can still have the occasional big inning but it doesn't feel like it is scripted and it definitely doesn't happen every game.

My team average has dropped a much needed 15-20 points and there are very few 2+ HR innings. All while getting a good spread of xb hits. Some great tight games that don't get "ruined" by back to back singles almost always leading in to a scoring onslaught.

Game felt decent. Braves don't hit lefties that well (based on batters ratings) and Kershaw is one tough lefty. Dodgers hits didn't feel cheap, no "hit parades" as I like to call them. Game felt good, I got beat fair n square.

You should see what the averages are like after a sample of say 10 or more games, before you decide to change something. Your last 2 games are perfectly within reason. Plus you have to consider the cpu gives each game certain boosts and cuts. How exactly? I don't know but, I can see swings in a pitchers performance even though my execution is consistent. I guess it has to be this way or else an ace pitcher wouldn't have a really bad day and vice versa. For instance, I just threw a 5 hit shut with Dillon Gee on straight up all-star settings. And I don't even think I executed my pitches that good.

I agree with you. The only changes I'm pondering is a boost in user contact and/or cpu contact. I think I will give it several more games though.
