You can turn batters eye off either in the presentation options or in the game settings I believe, I know somewhere you can turn it off.

Hi ,Jonathan, give the sliders about 10-15 games. You should see the games get better, both gameplay & stat wise

finished with my 2nd game, got another 3-4 win with the 2nd game in 3 game series against indians, got 8th inning shutout with blackburn as a starter because my 2 starters and setup reliever is in DL list, give 3 runs in mid 8th inning thats why i call capps to relieve, then capps take the 2nd out but gives 1 hit and move the runners to 2nd and third. then called the closer joe nathan leaving the top of 8th 3-3. then got a run in 9th inning and the closer got the win. But still many k's for the cpu. Is the indians weak in batting? thanks

Any suggestions on how to make hitting more difficult? I'm at like game 14 or 15 and my Rangers are hitting .362 as a team. I also have the top 3 home run guys.

Pitching has been great for me though. I'm having a good variety of games. It has gotten to the point where I might need to lower the stamina though as I've pitched 4 or 5 complete games with my starters.

I made a comment in harshs thread about this. In franchise mode the pitch success slider has to be raised to at least 75.

Yeah I'm in agreement with Bimmer. I'm to the point where going back to it's original setting (85) is becoming more & more of an option

                  AL .271

Now in MLB games today the 50-60 Pitch success setting can work because the pitchers BAA are lower meaning less hits. In my franchise ( I am looking at the stats right now), a WHOPPING 16 teams have .260 BAA or higher. In the above real life numbers only 8 teams do.

This tells me that simulated franchise games produce more hits, so the pitchers we run into will most likely have higher BAA numbers meaning we will have to make that adjustment to the pitch success slider, to make hitting harder.

Just looking at the reverse order in my franchise right now the best team the Cubs have a .241 BAA through the exact same amount of games and the Reds which are 5th at .251. We have to go all the way down to 13th on the above chart( San diego) to find that number. I understand its a video game, but this is why so many hits are piling up at lower Pitch success numbers in franchise.

Not sure I agree here, I have CPU pitch success at 60 and HUM Power at 55 and everything seems perfect, I actually just lost to the horrible Pirates 1-0 lol...........I have played 70 games in my franchise right now, since these setting have been implemented my average is somewhat normal, I strikeout alot, people as low as 58 power have hit a HR, its great

OK, after much testing in Franchise by members & myself I've made 2 changes in the Hitting Section (30/70 for both) & CPU Pitch Success bumped to 80.

These changes are reflected on the 1st page..

I have been using those exact settings for about 12 games, and it is challenging to get 10 hits in a game now. I have been getting rung up 1 to 3 more times a game though. There is no question that you have to have good pitch recognition and timing with these settings.

Doesnt it feel like your hitting a shot put sometimes when they throw that 85mph sharp sinker into the lower part of the strikezone? Lol

In my last game I only managed 6 hits off Cleveland, but man I must off hit 8 or 9 groundballs off of Jensen Lewis after he came in the game. Just kept pounding that hard sinker low on me.

I find the low breaking balls are the toughest to read and hit. The sinkers come in quickly and the sliders are near impossible when they drop out of the zone. but it's quite realistic, and i really love this game!

I agree (lol). Its seems though at 80 Pitch success those sinkerballs are heavier because the pitcher is hitting that low outside or inside spot more often. I also really like the pitcher batter duels also. I get struck out alot looking ,but draw a ton of walks too. Nothing like knowing the pitcher is going to try to bust a sinker inside on ya on a 2-1 count and misses to high because he is gased in the 6th inning, and you go yard on him.

how do you make your pitchers last longer. seems like after 80 pitches Justin Verlander starts to get fatigued. I would think most hi end starters could go at least 95 pitches before fatigue sets in.

Pitcher fatigue setting, most have it set at 40, if yours is still at default 50 then bump to 60
