I JUST threw a 1 hit complete game with Jake Westbrook (playing with the Cards) against the Pirates. I struck out 11, walked 3 (one of which McCutchen chased home with a bomb). Oh, AND it took 122 pitches to do it. I was struggling on them last 2 batters, that meter was ridiculous! I'd say 3 or 4 of the Ks were of the 'caught looking' variety, so that's a good thing.

Offensively, it felt really good. I won the game 6-2. I had 8 hits; 3 homers (Pujols, Holliday and Berkman) and 2 doubles (Freese, Holliday). Charlie Morton and Garrett Olson combined for 5 Ks and 3 walks. I also scaled back the OF and IF speed to 35 and 30, respectively. I'm liking that, too. I need a few more games to see if Westbrook's marvelous game was a fluke or not. But it's not as unrealistic as I was afraid it might be. Because of the movement of the pitches, it's pretty tough to throw strikes consistently...I have PIT Control at 25.
See I tend to favor the AI pitcher more jsut because I can hit and I am usually pretty succesful. You might have to tinker with it but I have these as well:

    CPU strike zone tend: 35
    CPU pitch speed: 75

I will say if you using the CPU batting sliders that harsh has here then I PROMISE you had jsut a good game as pitchers do from time to time.

      AI pitch success - 75

Really makes a hitter out of you especially if your a fan of the pitcher/batter battles. Now if only check swing worked

MK, just wanted to let you know I played two games last night with your sliders (PC Drafted Franchise) and so far I'm very impressed! The first game was against Sabathia and talk about a trial by fire..he struck me out 12 times. But I ended up getting the win 3-2. My pitcher Bucholz went 8 innings, struck out 6, walked 1, gave up 7 hits and only got touched up when he gave up a 2 Run homer in the Top of the 9th (Bad Gesture on a Curveball).

I may slow the CPU pitching down a touch as it was REAL hard to time it as is. But everything else so far looks great. Also switched over to Classic hitting and love it. Haven't played a Computer baseball game since High Heat left the building and was huge into that so I'm currently on cloud 9.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Just finished my game up this morning. Didnt notice too much of a difference with the break influence and such changed. Not as different as I thought it would be. Not sure if I am gonna stick with it or not. Sadly I lost 5-1. I had 7 hits, they had 13. I struck out 5 whereas they struck me out 6 times. I had one BB off them and the had none against me. No homers, all hits were singles.

Thats the thing with 2K for at least 5 years now they havent gotten some of the pitch movemnets right. Like FB sinkers moving a TON, or the curveball not having that off the table bite to it. Still the ball moves as good as its gonna get with this

Ironically I am playing last night in my bravos franchise, against the cubs, and just like real life it went extra innings after a 3-3 tie in 9th.(real life braves went 19 innings last night against pirates). Several scoring chances by both teams, and most of my bench already been used. We get to top of 14th inning, the cubs get bases loaded with 2 outs, when I was able to get a ground out to finish inning. Bottom of the 14th, BJ Upton, picked up in a trade leads off with a single. Steals 2nd. Next batter strikes out on steal, then heyward gets a grounder to first to advance upton to 3rd, 2 outs. McCann up to bat, would not want anyone else up in this situation.........works count to 3-2, so on next pitch I get upton running for home, McCann hits a slow roller between 2nd and 3rd where their infielder has grab and throw, upton home, throw to first, bang bang play!!!, McCann SAFE. braves win!!! braves win!! braves win!! Looking at replay, seems this was also a controversy call, and he should of been out. I'll take it, as I have had calls go the other way as well.

Next game against Giants at home, Jurregens vs Cain, both pitchers for 8 innings in a classic, I get 1 run midway through game, after a steal and McCann doubling. I win 1-0.......Lose Upton for 4 weeks after Cain nailed him in lower back with a fast ball. Atleast he will be back for playoffs if I make it.

Man I love this game, trying to hold onto East lead, after sweeping Cubbies, got it back to 4.5 game lead........

                And UI love these sliders!!

Hey, I have been playing 2k11 at 5 innings but it got boring and i wanted a closer more fun 9 inning game. I tried your sliders for 2 games of MLB today. If i like the sliders after a few games i will use them in a franchise with the blue jays. the 2 games were:

Game 1: Red Sox (me) vs. White Sox:
                  - I won 7-2 with 5 runs comming in the 1st inning against Humber. The 1st 5 batters all got on with base hits and 2 doubles (ellsbury, pappi). After that the pitching started to sink in and besides a 2 run shot by Dunn in the 6th and 2 doubles (agon, crawford) there wasnt much more action. Lester went 8 innings and bard took the 9th. After the 1st inning going up 5-0 i was skeptical about the sliders but they ended up being great.

Game 2: Blue Jays (me) vs. Rangers
                  - I lost this game 4-2. It was very realistic. 2nd inning Mills gave up 3 runs but was ok from there on with a bunch of base hits from the rangers. it was pretty quiet until the 7th when Hill hit a 2 run homer (my 1st homer on the sliders). 3-2 rangers and in the 8th with rauch in gave up a solo shot to Young. I had runners on 1st and 2nd in 9th inning with 0 outs but couldnt capitalize. Mills went 5 innings, tallet 2, rauch 1, camp 1. Holland was good for the rangers going 7 strong

Thanks for the great sliders. I will continue to use them in a few more mlb today games before i use them in a season. and i will report back here with some results

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K11 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

Decided to try your sliders in 3 games of mlb today. Im going to play this until the trade deadline moves get done on live roster updates then going to try a franchise with your sliders if i can get a feel for them. so far so good here are last nigths games:

Game 1: Tigers (me) vs. Angels ---Verlander vs. Weaver
                    -
This game was really fun. Verlander gave up 2 runs in the 2nd with a wells 2 run shot, and then after 2 doubles by the 1st 2 batters in the 3rd the angels took a 3-0 lead. Next inning Alex Avila hit a solo shot to opposite feild which was great. after 3 consecutive singles in the 5th the angels took a 4-1 lead but after a 2 run double by avila next at bat the lead was trimmed to 4-3. verlander got roughed in the 8th and gave up 3 runs to a tripple to kendrick with the bases loaded. He got the pull here for Beniot who pitched clean as did coke in the 9th. in the 9th a few singles capped by a Vmart double cashed in a run to end the game as a 7-4 loss for me. Great game though really fun

Game 2: Yankees (me) vs. Orioles --- Garcia vs. Britton
                    - This game was good but the worst of the 4 (minus the 9th inning). I lost this game 5-1 as britton pitched 9 innings until giving up a rbi to Russ Martin t0 break the shutout. vlad knocked in 2 and markakias knocked in 2 while andino drove in 1 to cap 5 run 3rd-4th innings. Garcia was smooth there until the 7th when he was pulled for robertson b/c of high pitch count. robertson finished the 7th/8th to give way to Logan for the 9th. in the 9th i got the bases loaded after the martin rbi, and chavez (pinch hitter for nunez) single. Gardner was up with 2 outs and with bases loaded hit a jack that i though was gone for sure to opposite feidl (very low power guy), but however Jones made a leaping catch at the wall to rob me and end the game.

Game 3: Athletics (me) vs. Twins --- McCarthy vs. Pavano
I got to Pavano in the 1st with a 5 run inning. After weeks singled, willingham single, dejesus double, jackson single, suzuki single and pennington single. After that the offence was non existent until the 8th when willingham hit a double to score weeks who walked and stold 2nd. For the twins, Kubel went 4-4 and knockled in 2 rbi on 2 doubles. This finally gave me a win after hard work to take it 6-2. Ziegler pitched a 2K 1.1 inning while balfour/bailey finished it off in the 8th/9th.

                    - Im loving the slider set so far. only made one change which is upped baserunner speed 5 pts. Going to hopefully play 2 more today and will inform you the results

No problem! glad to hear from some feedback of your games. I played 2 more today before work. The rosters are still not updated yet so id say in a day or 2 they will be. here are my games today.

Game 1: Cubs (me) vs. Pirates ---- Zambrano vs. Maholm
                        - This game say Zambrano pitch 7 innings of 7 hit 0 run ball with 8 k's. Marshall/Wood did the 8th/9th to save the shutout. Ramirez went 3/4 with an RBI while Castro had 2 RBI with a single with a man on 2nd and 3rd. Bryd had a double to score pena as well. All this came in the 5th to give me a 4-0 lead. In the 8th Soto's double scored a run, and campana's double in the 9th also scored 1 to finish the game 6-0 for me. I enjoyed the 1st ever shutout but wasnt to be outdone with the next game

Game 2: Red Sox (me) vs. Indians ---- Lackey vs. Tomlin
                        - After my 1st ever shutout i followed it with a magical performance from lackey despite up around 120 pitches he finished with 9 innings 6 hits 0 ER with 11 K's. i couldnt believe the performances i have been getting the last 2 games to make me 3-2 last 5 games. Ortiz had 2 homers. 1 was to opposite feild over the monster and the other a line drive just over the wall. both were solo shots. i had a 2-0 lead in the 6th when saltalamachia doubled with no outs and pedroia knocked him in to give me a 3-0 lead. Next inning Youk doubled and then crawford trippled off the wall to make the lead 4-0 and thats all she wrote. This game was probably the funnest game yet that ive played with lackeys pitching, and ortiz 2 homers.

                        - Havin a blast the last few days and lookin forward to hearing of more good games on these sliders. My next couple games will probably come tomorrow around this time again.

Trust me, there is plenty of good games to come; I am at end of August, played every other game with these sliders, which should be around 50+ games under my belt with these sliders. I play as "My Braves" with alot of same players, but alot of new players as well, made team younger in alot of areas. I am 2nd in NL East by 1 game behind Mets, have been in 1st for most of year, the NL East race is tight and crazy, with 1st to last only having a 10 game difference. My starting lineup is McCann, Freeman, Weeks, Gonzo, Jones/McGehee, Prado, Upton, Heyward. Pitching has been tough lately with injuries to Beachy and Teheran most of season. So starting 5 currently is Hanson, Jurrgey, Hudson, Delgado, Minor. Alot of important matchups to go in September, hope I do not miss October?? we shall see.

                              - This was a crazy game. Both SP's were great throwing combined 18 K's. With the bases loaded in the 4th Damon hit a double that scored 2 for the only 2 runs of the game for the Rays. in the 6th after a Snider double, Arencieba smacked a single to score him (2-1). In the 8th inning after going 0-2 with a walk, Bautista steps up and see's Price's last pitch of the game a breaking ball right down the middle, and we all know what Bautista likes! He drills a homer 407 feet to tie the game 2-2. After that no one could bat as it went right to the top of the 18 before any action. Bautista gets up and smacks a tripple to deep center, and next batter Lind drives him in with a single. Rauch picks up the perfect bottom 14th for the save. I seriously had chills since the 8th innning. These sliders have opened up another world of MLB 2k11 to me as they are perfect for how i play.
