What would you guys recommend I lower to get rid of the CPU's insane amount of triples? I have Austin Jackson in CF and no matter what I do, guys with as low as 50 speed get triples on me. I usually hit greens on the throwing meter if I'm using the cutoff man or not, but nothing seems to work and it's incredibly frustrating.

Are you just getting rocked on the regular? Or mixing speed and location and throwing balls when you need to?

        1) Raise user outfield speed
        2) Raise user outfield throw
        3) Lower AI hit n run tendency
        4) Lower AI baserunner speed
Try ONE of them at ONE time, not all together. Perhaps one tweak is enough.

I mix it up quite well with good control with all my pitchers besides Porcello. I played a game recently with Verlander. I gave up 6 hits in 7 innings. Four of those hits were triples, and it's not just at Comerica it's like that at all the ballparks.

Thanks wudl, i'll try it but I don't want to mess up other things by changing them. I was fine with triples every now and then if it was faster guys getting them, but players with 58 speed are getting triples standing up I just find that hard to believe.

Raising Outfielder Speed fixed the problem for me.

This was a problem last year due to clunky or slow outfielder animations. It's a little improved now but still can cost you that triple. It seems the CPU knows exactly when to stretch a double to a triple as I've never had a close play at third. It seems, scripted...

Anyway, you could try raising outfield arm strength, increasing fielder speed, or lowering baserunning speed. Or just lower CPU power. The best solution I've found is lowering baserunning aggressiveness. It can eliminate that scripted feeling and if it shouldn't be turned into a triple, the cpu won't try it.

The biggest thing is probably the angles you're taking getting to the ball. That'd be why you're giving up doubles instead of triples.

Last game I threw out Jemile Weeks while he tried to stretch a double into a triple. And this wasn't the first time I threw someone out that tried to get to 3rd. There were numerous occasions for this scenario with players with different speed.

I agee with wudl83. I've throw numerous guys out trying to stretch doubles into triples. Ironically enough, I'm also using his sliders.

to me 5 outfield is too slow and 10 is too fast.. a 7 or 8 would be ideal but since we cant do that i usually bump it up to 10 on the really big parks and 5 and the smaller ones to try to counter the triples. with 5 somewhere like CBP i dont give up many but 5 on a bigger park and its a couple a game

Funny, I had played about 10 or so games in the past 5 days, and I was getting kind of annoyed at the lack of power I was seeing from both sides - averaging about 0.5-1.0 per game total - and tonight I just played an extremely fun game between the Athletics and Tigers. I played as the A's, and I hit 3 HR and gave up 4 HR, including 2 to Miguel Cabrera. Just a fun, glitch free game.

(keep in mind, I have USER Power jacked up to 90 to match the CPU Power. But that's mostly because of how I play. I use the black circle batter's eye, and I'm extremely patient)

Sorry guys, but I will no longer be providing updates. The sliders noted on page 1 - post 1 are a final pre-patch set - I will not be providing any updates after the patch arrives. Enjoy them... I won't be on OS much anymore at all, as there comes a time when roster work & sliders just doesn't cut it. I've reached that point.... Doubtful I post here much again (if at all), so I thank everyone for the support & would welcome anyone to to keep these sliders updated for your usage...

(No need for any feedback, and please don't send any private messages as I most likely won't get to them since I won't be logging on here much at all).

Your sliders have always been among my favorite, especially for MLB and NCAA. Thanks for all your hard work, and all best going forward@!

I agree with you man no matter what you do with this game it just doesnt cut it. I gave up about a month ago bought a PS3 and got the show and it was the best thing I ever did. The community over there is awesome, so many more people who contribute like you do for the 2k community. You can relax and actually enjoy a baseball game while playing the show. Its 1000 times better and just is so much more advanced. When I had 2k you really made the game a little playable, but I deeply advise all you too drop this terrible game and get the show as you will never be dissapointed again as most of you are with this game. Thanks for all you once did MK.

Thanks MK you made this game fun and playable for me. I realize the show is probably a better option but im not gonna waste money on a PS3 to play one game on a console none of my friends have. Maybe the patch will actually fix things and make it better(lol jk itl just be worse). Thanks for all the hard work though, we all appreciate it.
