I'm getting rocked by the Mariners with John Halama on the mound...thought he'd be perfect to test out my personal tinkering! Very challenging...5-2 after 4 with the Mariners getting 10 hits. CPU swing rate could help, but I was throwing too many strikes before, and they were getting called out looking several times also. By maxing out the meter difficulty, you understand why sliders are so important, because it's virtually impossible to avoid mistake pitches every other batter. I'll be closer to -23 than I thought after this game!

Also, Jamie Moyer has 50 pitches in the bottom of the 4th with no outs!! Very pleased with the games I've been having.

Quick follow up if anyone's interested.

After 5, Halama's pitch meter has no green and is just one sliver of orange. No "perfect" pitches are possible...many, many mistakes. His stamina is at 31% after 71 pitches and he's been hit hard! No longer concerned that pitching will be too easy this year!

Does he have low stamina in real life and I guess, more importantly, a low stamina rating in the game?

He's not exactly a pitch-count whore in real life.

He should be good for only about 5-6 innings when he starts a game.

His stamina is 79. Guys like Schill have 97, but most of the staff has mid 80's.

The point of maxing the meter difficulty was to see if it became impossible to make perfect pitches as the pitcher tired, and that was certainly the outcome. Unrealistic, but I was curious. Experiment over, I'm waiting for Pared's revisions!

pared, nice job with the sliders

i was having a decent time playing this game out of the box(pc version, all star) but my main concern was slow baserunner speed and too much range for the CPU infielders. Your sliders have fixed both those problems. Also, im getting tons more K's now(just finished a game with RJ, struck out 10 in 8 innings)

im getting great offensive numbers for my team, but the CPU is struggling to hit. Ive given up a few HR's(1 last game to vlad, 1 to garret anderson) but i dont think the CPU is scoring enough. Ill have to play a few more games to verify this. Im still not getting many walks or giving up any, but im having alot of fun and finally getting some hits(was the lowest scoring team in the majors after like 17 games)

anyways, thanks alot for the work. any updates are appreciated.

I just played a game with these sliders and it was a helluva game. The Cubs (me) won in Wrigley against SD in an 11 inning game. The matchup was Prior vs Peavy and neither starter disapointed. Here are their lines, respectively:

                                Code:
                                	[b]IP[/b] [b]H[/b] [b]R [/b] [b]BB[/b] [b]K[/b] [b]# pitches[/b]
                                Prior: 7 3 1 0 6 96
                                Peavy: 7 3 1 3 7 98
I didn't record pitch counts after the starters but I ended up striking out 10 times and walking 5 (1 intentional). I struck the comp out 9 times but issued no walks.
                                New England Patriots
                                Boston Celtics
