I must ask Pared, how was the CPU with taking called 3rd strikes? It seemed they took too many when the CPU swing frequency was at -25, and you lowered it. Well' I'll guess I'll test em out and see what's up.

They still will take them, but it depends a lot on the Variable Ump... seems like the CPU swing frequency lowers the CPU's swing frequency regardless of the situation... so while they will swing at less first pitch strike (esp. deeper in the game) they will also watch more third strikes. This doesn't raise User K totals too high at all, and the slider was tweaked so the CPU doesn't swing wildly at other off speed pitches out of the zone. (At least at the frequency it was at before)

Do you have like a conversion chart for what the Power should be set to for various Pitch Speeds? If you did thatd be awesome... thanks.

I could try and come up with one...

To be quite honest, I don't believe we would need one this year. The game doesn't have the same problems 2004 did, and I believe the developers accounted for that...

-Stealing. Better catchers can actually get the fast runners.
-Double Plays: Transitions, and chances of completion
-Offensive production and more varied games.
-Pitch counts refined.
-Runner aggression - produces more movement by the CPU on the field
-CPU contact and power balance. Make sure to waste pitches to setup the CPU batters or you will PAY!
-Fielder injuries lessened.

Some notes:

-I have not done any testing on any other levels, as I still have much more to look at on the All-Star level.
-Pitch counts will vary depending on your patience at the plate.
-Some sliders have a zero value b/c they really do not need tweaking.
-The set has taken shape and is very much close to completion.

No, by waste pitches I mean don't throw so close to the strike zone when up in the count. Should allow more dominance by your better starters, as they will be able to rack up more on K's than your 4th or 5th starter.

But of course, with Variable "stuff" on, anything can happen.
