Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio

the wfan sports radio here in nyc just said that the deal hit a snag cuz boston wants heilman like i said before. and the mets actually told the sox that he is not available.. are you kidding me.. since when is heilman a non tradeable player..lol

the guy on the radio right now is bashing the mets saying that if the mets dont get manny cuz of the mets not trading heilman then the mets are a joke. i agree and he is saying that sources are saying the mets have until tomrrown at 12 to decided if they want to give up heilman.. he is the deal breaker right now..

you gotta do this if you are the mets...

LMAO, Beltran is 28 and is one of the most overrated players who took advantage of having a monster October. and I laugh at the people who said they'd take him over Vlad.

So now you're going to believe what FF has been trying to tell you for the past half an hour? Heilman is the future of your pitching staff, especially trading away petit too.

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio

After thinking about this for a while, I still can't believe Boston would even consider this. Tampa had to have been giddy to get 4 really good prospects for garbage. Anyways the Marlin trade seems feasible because of Burnett, but how will they pick up that money.

And Vinceanity what is up with a 210 mil payroll in the Ken article. Is that a joke? Did they get a new owner?

As for Patterson, I just dont see him getting better. I dont care if he becomes good elsewhere. He has a terrable attitude and just wants to be a basher. He could be the next Ryno and hit the ball in the gaps and use his speed at Wrigley, but he is stupid and thinks swinging at everything and trying to hit homers is the way to go. Couple that with Dusty yo yoing him around the order and he is fried. I dont like the trade for Floyd because he is like alot of our players. The Soriono trade is intersting but Pie is untouchable so if thats what Texas wants see ya. Hendry better not f around with Pie.

You have to. Heilman has not shown me much (granted I dont watch the Mets too closely unless they play the Braves), and if you dont trade him for Manny, you dont deserve to win at all.

IMO if its the Beltran from last year who was 42 for 42 in SB than the pick could go either way. This year is non-debateable. Is he still hurt or what?

The 210 million thing was combined over the next three years. They did get a new owner, as well, and have a lot more money to spend.

Roughly a budget of 80 million per year during a 3 year stretch would make for around 210 million.

last I checked hes hitting around .270 too....every starter but Lowell is hitting over that right now. You can't deny his HRs, but RBIs are also due in large fact to guys getting on for him.

Thanks for the reply. That is still a ton. Are they at 50 something million now? It would be cool to see them become a player again in the AL East.

C-Belt has hit .300 once and really only had 1 big time career year. Vlad's numbers with the Expos were rediculous. He reached 1,000 ops at least twice.

first of all where do i write that i have agreed with ff. i am not i said before that they want heilman.. he did not say this i said this... and how the hell do you figure that heilman is the future of this staff.. are you kidding me.. do you even watch the mets.. hielman is not even a good pitcher.. he is average at best and wont be better. he has had many chances in the last 3 years and he has done ok this year as a reliever but lately he has stunk. heilman cannot be the reason why the mets dont get manny.. i would trade heilman for the sox bat boy at this point if he can drive in some runs..

Yeah, like Vince said, it's never going to be a huge payroll, but 80 million or so(so yes, a 20-30 million dollar upgrade) over three years equals 210.

Plus since we are on a roll why mess with anything? Esp our pitching staff. Burnett can walk at the end of the yr, but right now I want a playoff birth!!!
