What was Tim Hudsons record last year? Did he even win 15 games ? No He was 14 and 9. good not great. If the Met's had a decent closer last year they could have made the playoffs. Vasquez has great stuff but could not pitch on a big stage in NYC ( ask the Yanks). Jay Seao had a great year. Glavine had a great second half. Check quality starts. The problem with the Braves is no one goes to there games. Look at the playoffs there are always empty seats.
They are also not able to spend big money. Don't get me wrong the Braves have been the class of he NL East. However that time is over. The mets have much better hitting then the Braves as of today. Chipper is great but not getting younger and that really only leaves A. Jones. Lets see him hit even close to 50 Hr's again. We have David Wright who is a fantastic hitter and still very young. I won't go over player per player. Lets just say Vegas oddsmakers are not picking the Braves this year. I love all the Braves fans.
You guys love your team but know one goes to see them. The Mets can spend because they nowhav there on TV network and will break ground on a new stadium this year. People say they overpaid for Wagner or Delgado yet if hey don't spend money they are labeled cheap. I do not want to end this conversation on a bad note. As I said the Braves are the class of the NL East
but the there time is over. All this is just talk. Lets see what both teams due this year and then talk in October. Good Luck!

Boy if only I had a nickel for every time I heard a Mets fan or some supposed "expert" say that, I'd be friggin' rich...it's the same every year. There is NO WAY you can say anything is definite right now, the Braves haven't even made any moves yet for crying out loud lol.

I don't understand what's all the fuzz about Wagner's contract.

Blue Jays set the bar higher thanx to that contract they gave Ryan.

If the Mets didn't offer a 4th year to Wagner, someone would eventually would have.

The Mets now have more of a finnancial backing, thanx to the new TV deal, so it's looking like money wont be a problem to improve the team.

You gotta like that as a fan.

don't use the word "boy" to me. I am probably older then you. I am retired at age 47. I built many buildings in New York City, L.A, Chicago and Detroit. I have a masters degree from Yale. This is a baseball topic. No need to use Southern slang to make a point. I am sure you are a kid or a very low class person to call anybody "boy".
