Thats me. My hitting is alright, but nothing special. On a bad team (I mean like a bad 14-16 year old team or High school team) I'll be hitting at the top of the order, but if I'm playing on a really good team I'm probably back around 7th. But fielding, I'd say in the last 50 games I've played, going back to Little League, I've made maybe 2 errors playing 3rd base every inning of every game

You can pretty much thank Arod for that, there is only enough salary for one superstar on that team. God forbid Arod defer some of his salary and the owners try to field a good team. He should have never left Seattle! A much better place to play and the ownership cares about winning!

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I know i'm a little late chiming in on this one, but at least Arod is "earning" his salary. Take a look at Chan Ho Park's record since signing his deal. That contract is the worst contract they have on their team, and i doubt they could move it, no trade clause or not. I'd rather have Arods salary on my team then his. And yeah, Arod has offered to defer some of his salary, so to say that he's to blame for the Rangers problems is not very accurate. Oh, and tell the Mariners players how much the front office wants to win. Last year at the trade deadline when they were in a playoff race, the players were told that they would have to win with what they had because ownership didnt want to trade for anybody at the deadline because they didnt want to take on any more salary. Ownership must not want to win that badly, huh.

It doesn't matter if you call a great game if they pitcher is serving fat ones over the middle of the plate. I guess Greg Maddux has just lucked out and had catchers who always seem to call the right pitches.

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Actually, Maddux doesnt pitch to Lopez, he has always had a different catcher catching his games. He's had Eddie Perez and Paul Bako just to name a couple, and that was because of their ability to call good games. I'm sure BaseballGuru could offer more on this subject than I though.

Chippered, it doesn't take a genius to know that the Mariners win a lot more than the Rangers! The Rangers owner said he is just flat done spending money, sounds like a commitment to win to me! And I never said he was to blame totally, but when your whole pitching staff has a combined salary of Arod's, there is a problem. I love Arod and think he definitely earns his money, but who gives a f**k if you constantly play for a loser?

The problem with the Rangers is that they have an idiot for an owner. He has some pretty good baseball people in his front office and he needs to let them do their jobs. Grady Fuson will be a great GM for them once they ax Hart. Hicks seems to have some fascination with Scott Boras clients and feels the need to overpay for them each offseason. And i'm not saying that the Rangers are a better organization then the Mariners, I was just saying that the Mariners ownership said last year that they were out of money, same situation as the Ranger, well kinda. I'm not really a Rangers fan or anything, but I think that after they rid themselves of some bad contracts, not Arod's, they will be a really good team. They have alot of bats on the farm that they could trade for some pitching, so I think their gonna rebound. They just need to let the baseball people do their jobs.
