Maybin is real deal special. Florida is going to be lucky to have him for a season or two before trading him to whatever team Dave Dombrowski is working for at the time.

10 million dollar payroll holla. Why the hell do you buy a baseball team if you don't want to spend money on a baseball team.

Yeah, Florida will like this kid until they unload him...

I'd rather not have seen him go, but I understand and like the trade. The Tigers window is RIGHT NOW, and with Willis and Cabrera (moving Inge to the floating infield spot he's perfect for) it gives them a legit shot right now.

Agreed. There is absolutely no reason he should be able to own a MLB team. This old boys club the owns these teams is getting rediculous. In a country of frivolous lawsuits, i'd love to see a group of season ticket holders get together and sue the hell out of some of these owners. Does Florida even have season ticket holders?

Anyway, wow, what a deal. A lot to give up, but I admire Detroits passion to put a winning team out there now.

I worry about Willis though. He's not been that great lately and now he's going to the AL, but we'll see.

Now big or small, Cabrera can DH or do whatever and rake. I think he's gonna be a real special player when all is said and done.

it'll be more like 7 million dollars. It's laughable to hear MLB defend this on talk radio.
