Willis is going to bring that quirky windup to a 17-win season in this division.

Does Guillen still count when he's at a different position?

And does Pudge still count when he's only making it on reputation?

5 out of 8 is still pretty damn good.

Yeah, I really didn't mean it and wanted to point it out so people didn't think it was as horrible of an attempt as it may have sounded.

It's a big deal, no doubt about it.

I'm interested to see how Willis does in the AL. So far ex-Marlins' pitchers are 1-1-1 in their transitions. (Beckett-Pavano-Burnett, respectively)

Tigers, Indians, Red Sox, Yankees. One of these teams can't make the playoffs next year. I have to think the Yankees have the best shot of being the odd man out if they don't decide to cave in on Santana.

Florida started last season with a 30 million dollar payroll

                  Cabrera made 7.4 mil
                  Willis made 6.5 mil
Julio made 3.6 mil (would have been better used wiping your ***)
Olivo made 2 mil and is likely gone too

10 million dollar payroll holla. Why the hell do you buy a baseball team if you don't want to spend money on a baseball team.

Commerica had the fences moved in last year,so its not as big as last year, and Dolphin Stadium's right and right center are where a lot of flys go to die. LF was not a problem for Miggy.

As a Tribe fan,the Tigers are making a statement. They gave up a lot,but man thats a scary lineup...there time is now.
If I were a Tigers fan,my biggest concern would be can they stay healthy. Sheff,Magglio,Rogers, have not been the healthiest players in the past, and Zumaya out until the middle of the year leaves ?? marks in the pen. But if they stay healthy, its going to be a hellava race between the Indians and Tigers, and I wouldn't count out the Sox either.

The last year Leyland was with Florida, Cabrera was 15 years old and Willis was 16.

Tigers are giving up an awful lot to win right now. Hope it doesn't backfire.

                                Wow. Wow. And wow!

Those are 2 unbelievable young players they gave up, but good for them to pull the trigger. I really think the Angels inability to part with their young talent offseason after offseason is going to take it's toll. All those prospects they're holding onto can't pan out. Guys like Wood and Santana have probably seen their stock drop since their major league debuts as opposed to their days atop the BA rankings.

With the young pitching that Detroit has and Cabrera in the middle of that lineup for years to come, the Tigers are NASTY for a long time. It's going to be real fun seeing them compete with the Indians every year. And good for the Marlins on getting what they wanted. Although the last time they insisted on including a player (Lowell), it worked out pretty well for their trading partner. Think the same may happen with Dontrelle ...
