Sounds kind of fishy to me. I guess I will wait for some reviews on this board before going out and getting this game. I can't believe EA would let a game with a huge fielding bug get out the door. Will see tomorrow.

Where are these fielding bugs in the movie clips? Could it be that this is not as prominent as one would think from reading the IGN review??

                    There's something I dont understand
From reading the reviews posted here it appears that IGN pretty much praised all the important aspects of WSB2K3 and bashed MVP but they gave WSB a 9.1 and MVP an 8.5
From reading what has been posted so far, if the fielding was as bad as they made it out to be it would be a game killer and would have caused about a 7 rating or so.
Very interesting.. I have a feeling the fielding is not that big of a problem, aside from the fact it hasnt happened once on any movies posted so far.

Like I said in another post, I estimate that the actual fielding code was only partially done. Due to time constraints of EA forcing this game out the door before the start of the season (and to match the shipping dates of the other games), they didn't have time to implement a) user controlled jumps and b) the darn automated jumps and dives don't even work right half the time.

So anyways after reading this review, I think a more reasonable score for this game would have been 7.7. It's a mediocre game but it needed more time to polish up the game, add some small nifty features and fix some bugs.

My prediction is that MVP Baseball will be a "top player" in next year's crop of baseball games.

Listen fellow gamers... Please just wait until the game is out and some of us have played it before you brand MVP a "Bug fest" etc..
If I had a dollar for every review I have read that was totally off the mark I would be quite the rich man.
                            1: Is the game fun
2: If there are bugs ..How often do they happen
3: Us gamers have no hidden agenda to hide/exagerate problems etc... So wait for some people here to post their impressions.
For me MVP offers some new twists that frankly I cannot pass up at this time. It looks like a really fun game, but we'll never know until we play it.
                            Just wait and have fun...

Is it possilbe that they didn't review from a 100% version? Either that, or maybe the reviewer was just doing something wrong? I mean, those things he complained about seemed so basic that how could they even consider releasing the game as-is. If they are as bad as the reviewer says they are, then they are HUGE game-killing bugs. It just sounds a little suspect to me. I guess i'll wait to hear some user reviews first before making my final decision.
