Re: August 2nd - August 8th MLB Discussion
I'm confused...Are people supposed to like steroid using cheaters and celebrate their tainted milestones?
"Look What I Did! Everyone look at the Great Alex Rodriguez...Derek, why aren't you clapping for me! I need you to clap for me! I need to be admired by everyone!"
When I don't get admired by others...I have to admire myself.
Haters gonna Hate...more like Cheaters gonna Cheat.
Hell, I'll be the first one to congratulate Jeter when he gets his 3,000th knock.Last edited by Trevytrev11; 08-04-2010, 02:25 PM.Comment

No, people don't have to celebrate the milestones of "cheaters", but they are supposed to celebrate the icons of the game. A-Rod, steroids or not, is one of the greatest players to ever play. You're mad because he looks into the dugout when he hits a homer? God forbid someone wants to celebrate with their team. And if cheaters shouldn't be celebrated, then I guess noone can be celebrated. You have no problem with players up until a few years ago taking amphetamines to have an edge with more energy before the games? I guess we can't celebrate Hank Aaron or Willie Mays. Do you have a problem with guys doctoring the ball and throwing spitballs? Guess we can't celebrate Gaylord Perry and Phil Niekro. Even Babe Ruth is said to have used cork bats and shoot testosterone. And even those who haven't admitted to doing things, do you think that's because they didn't do things or because they don't want to be scrutinized having seen what happens to people today? Probably the latter. There was no problem with these "cheaters" when they were saving the game. But you're right. Screw the cheaters. Erase the record books and start over.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

I think he will. Without having to deal with all the signs, cameras, media, etc... Even more than usual, I think he will be able to relax and get back to thinking about just winning games and so forth.Comment
