    Close to it. I'm not saying he's as good all around defensively as them, groundball hit to Giambi is trouble, especially if he has to throw it, but at that aspect of defense he is very good.

      I think Nick Johnson is much better defensivly IMHO...I think the Yanks will make Giambino the permanent DH as soon as next season if they aren't already doing it right now...

            It's hard to tell, but my vote goes to Magglio Ordonez if the Chi Sox make the playoffs. He's without a doubt, the more most underrated player AL. Giambi in my eyes isn't a candidate this year, he's not even the most valuable player on his team let alone the league. It's not just about stats, just ask A-rod about that.

                        If the Sox didn't have him they wouldn't be in this race. He was on fire when the Sox made their big push..
