Man...the Jays' pen made the game way more interesting then it should've been still, it was a solid win all around.

Indeed. Has great discipline, I was a little skeptic if the power was actually gonna come but looks it is, and guy hustles everytime he makes contact and in the OF. Easily becoming one of my favorite Marlins, atleast until Stanton decides to hit again lol.

Offense looking good after the putrid start they got off to, Berkman and Albert both with a pair of homers tonight.

Yeah looks like's Albert is Back. I'm fairly surprised at how well the Cards are hitting lately. It was just a few days ago that they struggled to score 4 runs a game. But now everyone is hitting. Watch out NL Central.

I love how bad Hendry is looking right now trading our minor league system away for Garza and Pena. I also love how well Fuld is playing in Tampa, which shows how pathetic the organization is for not even giving him a chance to play. Instead, we had to let the high salary guys play. Garza is garbage right now, and Pena is right there with him. Awesome trade.

Yeah, our defense still scares me but if the bats can keep driving in runs that can cover that up a bit.

Yeah No kidding. I was a Fuld fan when he was here in CHI but i never thought he was capable of what he's doing in TB. Yeah Garza is pissing me off.. I'm willing to give Pena time because he has a nagging Injury but No clue what's going on with Garza. All of sudden he can't get NL Hitters out?

Cabrera homers off of Fuentes last night in the 9th to tie the game 1-1. Then Tigers put up 7 in the 10th and get the win. 5 in a row, back to .500.

Francona is shaking up the lineup again:
                          Lowrie SS
                          Pedroia 2B
                          Gonzalez 1B
                          Youkilis 3B
                          Ortiz DH
                          Cameron RF
                          Varitek C
                          McDonald LF
                          Ellsbury CF

And Beckett on the mound. Its starting to look like Varitek will be Beckett's personal catcher.

I just hope his start against the Yankees was a blip on the radar screen.

BTW I hope it isn't as crappy in Boston as it is here. It's rainy and such. I do hope it's cold though as it seems the cold weather is killing the breaking pitches though that's a double edged sword as it affects Jays pitchers as well.

I'm hoping its not. If he can keep his curveball breaking as good as it did against the Yankees, he could very well be in the Cy Young talk. I'm not really a fan of Salty, so I hope later this year either Varitek gets it or we trade for a better catcher (can't think of any names). The main problem with Varitek I think is that he doesn't throw runners out, but Salty keeps throwing it into center and allowing the runner to go to third, plus he can't hit.
