    Re: Cubs vs. Marlins

Would have mentioned something last night but the dsl modem was down.

It was ugly. VERY UGLY. Penny got his clock cleaned. The series is now 1-1 and coming to Florida. I expect nothing but more great baseball down here.

(side note, and this is the fan in me- marlins, when blowing a big game the day before, have come back to win the next game by alot, i think it happened 8 times during the season when a team scored more than 10 runs in a game. Now will this happen? Not sure cause of Kerry Wood, but in any case its gonna be fun to watch)
Eternal Salvation or triple your money back!

Ramirez is real streaky so you have to take the good with the bad. I've watched him in PGH for a few seasons now and everytime I think he's "got it", he'll play terribly for a string of games or do something real stupid to make me think "nope, he's still got a lot to learn". With that said, I'd still rather have him back in PGH because he is young and could be very dangerous for years to come. So Cubs got a good player and PGH got squat!

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I like Ramirez alot...It's to bad you guys can't hold on to your talent. I honestly feel for your fans....

I hope the cubs sign him to a long term contract...He is a 20-30 HR 100 RBI 3rd baseman, something the Cubs have not had in like forever...If he gets his Defense polished, he will be a force for years to come..

Ok I hope everyone enjoyed the off day, but its back to business.

            Wood vs. Redman

I feel this is the best matchup of the series and hey, who knows this may be a game 7 preview! The Cubs HAVE to have this one. With the shakey Clement and Zambrano next, they need this game to ensure they'll be going back to Wrigley and Prior. This will be close, but I like the Cubs 3-2. If they win tonight, the Cubs will just be looking to split 4 or 5, but first things first.

I think the Cubs will pull this one out. I dont know where that firepower came from in game two but they wont have that much today. Wood is just too good. This will be a tough game because of much less run support but the cubbies will still take the game. I dont think the Cubs can lose this sereis if Prior and Wood get to pitch 2 games a piece.
