UH?!? I felt that Zambrano pitched VERY well today. Yes he made one bad slider (I think) that hung and got smacked into the seats but that's it. He battled very hard throughout the game and I liked the emotion he displayed.

It was the Cubs bats that didn't show up.

As the saying goes, don't count your chickens too early! I agree though, I'd be shocked if FL beats Prior in Chicago. But crazier things have happened...

Well, if the Marlins manage to beat both Prior and Wood and advance to the World Series, I will not be a nice person for a long time.

Also, Zambrano did absolutely terribly today. He gave up 9 baserunners in 5 innings, a WHIP of 1.80. That just doesn't cut it in the major leagues, much less in a World Series clinching NLCS game.

As I said in the post above, there is no way the Marlins can beat Wood and Prior in consecutive games. If they do so, I will mock the Cubs, Dusty Baker, Carlos Zambrano, Jim Hendry, and many others for the rest of my life. Oh, and I will never be a nice person ever again.

hrm Gcrusher so I guess Jack Morris wasn't a major leaguer all those years then. UH HUH.

WHIP doesn't mean much what matters to me is the scoreboard and he only allowed 2 runs.
