I'm not sure how I feel about the Latos trade. We did give up a lot for him, but the Reds need a true #1 pitcher. We haven't had a great #1 pitcher since the the early 90's.

The only player in Japanese Professional Baseball history to post multiple 200-hit seasons might be coming to the major leagues. The Yakult Swallows accepted a $2.5 million bid by the Milwaukee Brewers for the right to negotiate with center fielder Norichika Aoki, a three-time Central League batting champ, The Associated Press reports. This thread is a neat idea, but the fact that you cant start new threads with one specific topic without it getting axed is weak, I dont want to read about a bunch of other news when all Im looking for is news on a specific player.

Why wouldn't you just type "*Insert Player* News" into Google?

According to his agent today is D Day and we should find out who will get to negotiate with Darvish. The decision should come down by 9 PM.

Or just search for the player in the thread.

You get your news in one place rather than having a hundred threads floating around.

Wow, Arizonas gonna move Parra to the 4th OF spot? Crazy. I guess Kubel is an offensive upgrade, but Parra plays much better defense and it's not like he's a scrub offensively. Doesn't make much sense in my opinion.

In another blockbuster signing, the Orioles agreed to a 1 year deal with Endy Chavez. Really love how we're just signing bargain bin players...that'll get us back to contention quickly.

Kevin Towers is the GM of that team, he'll always find a way to limit the playing time of a young player.

Things are not looking good for the Phillies.

Nats are going to be pretty good this season then REALLY good next season once Bryce comes up, Strasburg and the other young guys have more experience, etc. I'm really afraid of the group of Stras, Bryce, Espinosa, Ramos, Zimmerman, Zimmermann (ha), plus Morse, Storen, and others.

We're gonna be older with the only real young guys being Hamels, Pence, Brown, and Worley.

Plus Miami is stacked and will get better, New York will get better in the coming years, and the Braves will always have some good players.

Sounds like the Rangers likely won the Darvish bidding. $51.7 Million.
