Sounds like Miggy is moving to 3B so Prince can play 1B...

Prince Fielder, who hit baseballs out of Tiger Stadium as a 12-year-old, is on his way back to Detroit, where …

        YES!

Good. Thank you, Prince. Thank you for going to the AL.

I will always root for the Tigers now, unless they're interleagueing against the Brewers.

That's why Don Kelly and Brandon Inge are on the roster in the event of Miguel no longer being agile, right?

I don't like this deal at all. This has disaster written all over it.

I don't even wanna type more about it because from what I've read on Tigers forums I'm the only fan that doesn't like it.

It could be very easy for me to say stuff like: too much money, too many years, won't age well, bad infield defense, Victor Martinez ect ect. Any of these could come to pass and make me pissed off later...

But today I am stoked. We're going to have a Cabrera-Fielder 3-4 until they retire. I'm feeling 100 wins, and a championship this year. Screw all the above stuff, flags fly forever.

Although I think he may have put something into Victor's water, I have to give kudos to Scott Boras.

Gameplan for defeating the Detroit Tigers:

                2.) Bunt to Third

I see the first bold lettering extremely hurting the chance of the second bold lettering.

Hey, sometimes you need to overpay in money and years to get a premier free agent. This didn't seem like one of those times. Seems like they really outbid themselves.

But obviously for the next few years at least he should be a beast for them.

I'm going to enjoy the next 3-4 years and if the pieces fall in place, they fall in place.

Another option would be Pena, and then have him and Cabby split time at 1B and DH.
I'm guessing for the money, it doesn't bother him one bit about his pops playing there before.

Cabrera would not DH for a year, he's a baseball player and wants to be out there everyday. Prince doesn't want to DH either. Fielder wouldn't go back to Milwaukee for 1 year, he wouldn't want to come here then. Although if he really did want to DH for a year, I would offer him 25 million for a season. I think Mike Illitch would to.

Easiest route is just Vlad. Would be great in front of Cabrera I think. And if the Tigers were serious, they would go find themselves a real corner outfielder. Slide Young to DH for a year. Martinez comes back in 2013 and Young is gone.

Last summer Illitch promised 2 big bats this winter. All they have done is let Betemit walk, who is younger and hit .100 points higher than Inge last year. They brought back a backup infielder. And brought back Laird. Big bats.

I will throw up if they bring Damon back. The talk of him being a reliable DH is hilarious. .326 On Base Percentage, .730 OPS, and on top of that he was very underwhelming the year before in Detroit.

Get Vlad or go make a move for a corner outfielder. Delmon at DH is addition by subtraction because he could burn his glove. But then you have to deal with his .298 OBP.
I can only imagine now the amount of questions about his dad he's going to get.

Can't say I know for sure.

I think players win big in Free Agency and teams win big in extensions.

This is going to be great for Tiger fans for 3 Years at least but it's that last 6 you should really worry about, that can cripple a franchise. But one thing I'll agree with is if they win a championship it would be well worth it indeed.
