And i find it funny that almost every baseball writer agrees the M's future is very bright but the people sitting around at home, that know nothing about the Mariners except for what they see on ESPN think they know eveything, i know some peoples opions may be wrong, but not every baseball writer can be wrong, and they are obviosly smart, since they get paid and know sports, unlike you people that are sitting at home and think you know eveything.

Tone it down a notch, Brett.
Seriously. I skipped from page 4 to page 8 and the same discussion is going.
You have to realize that while the Mariners may have a bright future, right now it's just a future and that nothing has happened yet.
You're running hogwild with prognostications and putting other things down and quite frankly, its absurd.Comment

Re: Best Pitching Rotation Discussion
So the Angels won't resign any of those players? So the Mariners are going to retain all their talent, all their prospects will hit their ceiling, they're getting a whopper TV deal, while the Albert will become an average hitter, lose all those players, and none of their prospects like say Cron, Trout or Segura will develop?
Jeez might as well shut the team down.Ducks, Mariners, Blazers, Lillard, Favre, Iverson, Griffey, Hernandez, Hawks, Wilson,

Apparently if you don't think the Mariners will win the World Series by 2014 you don't know anything about them.Comment

Re: Best Pitching Rotation Discussion
The Mariners scored a whopping 556 runs in 2011 and an amazing 513 runs in 2010 which was the lowest season total of any MLB team in about 40 years. They've also lost an average of 98 games per year over that span and have finished in last place by a decent margin. Just because they have a few unproven prospects in their farm system (just like 29 other teams) does not mean that they are going to become world beaters any time soon. The fact of the matter is that way more prospects flame out than pan out. Plus, they are trapped in a division with two teams that outclass them in pretty much every way imaginable. Even if they do manage to escape the AL West, there is still the three headed monster in the AL East they will have to get through and that's not going to happen any time soon.Comment

Re: Best Pitching Rotation Discussion
You're still arguing too. And quite frankly, I don't blame them for arguing with you. Right now, the points are ridiculous. Who cares about sports writers? If you're pinning your hopes on future successes based on what sports writers think they know, you're in for a world of disappointment. Just look at predictions for any league, any playoffs, any finals, anything over the last God-knows-how-long and you'll see that by and large, the "experts" don't know much more than us.Comment

Hell saying them having a bright future is not even arguable, goes beyond simply an opinion.Comment
