That would be interesting. How much does Hanley make? I can't believe the Marlins would want to pay Crawford's contract.

I believe Hanley has about 3/45M left on his current contract.

If they want an impact bat, they are going to have to part with some of the promising young pitching. I'd be willing to deal Paxton.

The only way the Mariners get Upton (to which I say meh) is if they give up Walker and Franklin plus others. If we demand a whole farm system for Felix, then the same can be said about Upton because a) he's younger b) he plays everyday c) he's signed through 2015 and d) he has MVP caliber tools

I honestly don't mind Saunders/Gutierrez/Wells and would rather see us go after another ace type pitcher (I know, crazy right?)

You'll be surprised at what KT demands for. It'd probably be Paxton, a couple of AAA no-name relievers that will turn out to be elite in a couple of years, and a over-aged Class-A starting pitcher, and maybe a position player.

I'm down to possibly trade Hanley, but not for Crawford.

I don't think they should trade Hanley at all. If they had the slightest interest in trading Hanley, why would they trade Matt Dominguez( and for Carlos Lee nonetheless). Did he fall off the wagon or what made him so expendable?

He's just not as great as he used to be, his approach to the game/swing has significantly changed since hitting .342 awhile back and he's known to be some what of a hassle to deal with.

Matt Dominguez had good defense, but his bat is not and imo will never be MLB ready

The thing that gets me, is that if they trade for Crawford, where is he going to play? CF and then move Boni to 3rd?

In a totally made up rumor I'm starting here, the Cubs are landing these 3 prospects for Carlos Marmol. Done deal.

Dempster to Dodgers or Cardinals is the latest.

If this trade happened(severely doubt it will, probably an idea that was thrown around). Short term possibly yeah, or if they go full seller just flip back Carlos Lee somewhere. After the season it'd be move LoMo to 1st, Crawford to RF and then find a 3rd.

Dodgers made an offer to the Cubs for Dempster. He gets pulled from his scheduled start tomorrow and the Cubs called up a minor league pitcher. Hmm...

I dont believe that part is true.

Somehow it went from Casey Coleman is on standby to Dempster has been pulled. He is still scheduled to pitch tomorrow.

There is a chance he could be pulled from his start if he gets dealt before the game.

Looks like Coleman called up just in case Dempster is traded before his start. Move not official but likely Dempster is done for the Cubs
