Every article I can find say it's down to the Mets and O's with a possible return to Montreal.

How is Montreal back in the picture? They just made a bunch of outfield moves, and pulled the deal off the table once Vlad declined it. Of course they could have offered the most money, but that deal is gone, isn't it?

He is going to sign with the O's, Vlad has gotten interst from the Mets to drive his price up, now the O's are saying they are looking at signing Pudge again to keep Vlad's proce reasonable, but the O's are going to shell out what ever it takes to land Vlad.

Also, Vlad can't sign with Montreal until May 1st because he was not offered abitration.

Vlad is a kooky guy. What if he doesn't want to play in the AL? What if he values a large Dominican population (which Baltimore can't compete with NY for)? Who knows. The issue is that the possibility has ignited the firestorm in NY, and God knows that crazy things occur when that happens.

No they did not pull the deal of the table soto speak when he declined it. It was to test the market so Montreal simply said fine then you know what we will not offer you arbitration.

Montreal still has the years and the largest contract out there still available for Vlad

The only OF move they made was in getting Carl Everret other then that their outfield is still the same.

And as for the Mets its already been said "HE WILL NEVER PLAY IN NEW YORK"

O's have offered only 5 years, 65 million. He has not taken it simply cause He no longer likes Baltimore and on top of that he does not want to play in the AL and he is claiming Baltimore does not fit his Dominican demands in the population and he says that he wants to stay in the NL.

In come the Dodgers. The Dodgers stated last night and in the article that they have put a offer out to Vlad but not in money only years which they have said they will give Vlad a 5 Year Contract but see the money has not been announced cause the Ownership transition is the thing that is delaying the offer to vlad on the money. That is also why Vlad has not decided to go to Baltimore cause he wants to come to LA cause LA has the better population in Dominican and Spanish. So it leaves two teams, which are Montreal and LA.
