isn't it funny that montreal was the team to offer the most money, but Vlad turned it down.. well i guess that's what happens when you have MLB controlling the team

The last time I heard about Vlad going to the Dodgers, it was discussed that Green would move to 1B, Vlad to RF, and trade LoDuca.

Where would Juan Encarnacion play? He primarily plays RF.

Encarnacion has enough versatility to play either CF.

Well, it's not like he's signed the largest contract in history and will be the only new guy in town. There's also Matsui and Cameron coming in, not to mention the eyes that will be on Jose Reyes in his first full season. It will be tough at times, but it's not the typical NY situation.

As for going back to Montreal. Do you really think he'll sit out all of April? I mean, come on. They've already gone about replacing him over there.

I cannot believe people in Montreal think he''ll sit out a month of the season just to sign with them.
Guerreo knew that if he didn't take MTL money that he wasn't gonna be able to sign again with them till may. I mean come on! He is going either to the Mets, Marlins or O's. Aren't you people reading the stories on Guerrero? Where do they even mention Montreal? blah....

I don't care who else the Mets signed, Vlad will be the focal point of that team and will command the media's attention whether he wants it or not. They would have to bring in Barry Bonds or Pedro Martinez for the attention to be diverted from him. Despite that though, I think he'll end up with the Mets because I can't see him switching to the AL unless he gets offerred a rediculous contract.
