The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
Sounds like Braun worked a deal with MLB. Team's out of it, and now he takes his suspension.
What a piece of ****. This ******* tore down some poor guy who worked at a drug testing facility just last year to clear his own name.Comment

Best case scenario.
I am thrilled.
We're out of it anyways, can put this story behind us finally, if I could physically do backflips I would.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
That he didn't even appeal speaks volumes. Now I kinda know why the MLBPA spoke out about not protecting guys a week ago--they knew this was coming.
Well, I got my heckling in on Braun watching my Cubbies take the Crew on earlier this year, so I'm good.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
This is baseball like it or not.Braun's a great player that obviously didn't need it.He wouldn't have taken anything last year when all eyes were on him and he had a better season than his MVP one the year before.
How do we want to look at over two decades when performance enhancing drugs were running rampant, shrug our shoulders or pretend that time period didn't exist?Comment

Re: The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
lol. There it is.
As for Braun, I'm shocked he tried to deal, MLB must have a hell of a case from whatever they found at Biogenesis.
Speaking of which, I sincerely hope we get to see said evidence at some point once all the suspensions are handed out. I think transparency in this is a must from MLB, especially with no positive tests.Comment

Re: The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
As a Brewer fan, I'm happy he is suspended.
Liars and cheaters don't prosper.
Glad he said this, better late than never, I guess.
As I have acknowledged in the past, I am not perfect," Braun said in the statement. "I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of those actions. This situation has taken a toll on me and my entire family, and it is has been a distraction to my teammates and the Brewers organization.
"I am very grateful for the support I have received from players, ownership and the fans in Milwaukee and around the country. Finally, I wish to apologize to anyone I may have disappointed -- all of the baseball fans especially those in Milwaukee, the great Brewers organization, and my teammates. I am glad to have this matter behind me once and for all, and I cannot wait to get back to the game I love."Comment

Re: The Biogenesis/Suspension thread
Checking the standings the Brewers aren't having a very good season so if you're going to be out of it anyways......you can start fresh next year.Let's face it we know which teams in the NL are in a reasonable playoff position.Comment
