Also, calling this a "nothing punishment" isn't true.

He is going to lose over 3.4 million dollars worth of salary over this.

Of 100 million (or thereabouts) dollars. You think he's not totally fine giving that up to make this go away?

And yes, I've heard of a plea bargain. But this is a slap on the wrist compared to what they could have done to him. In the end it's completely inconsequential to him and to the Brewers.

What's your feelings about Sammy Sosa?Not starting anything,just curious.

Not a fan. No HOF for Sammy if that's what you're asking. Sammy's also one of the few that's been factually documented to cheat (when his corked bat blew up) so the PEDs allegations weigh on him a bit more than some imo just due to the fact his motivation to cheat/succeed has been proven to be stronger than his dignity.

Also, that he walked out on the team in '04 and the team had to refer to the security cameras to see wtf.

This doesn't really change the fact that the collector dude ****ed up.

He cheated, got lucky. Doesn't change the fact that he's been dirty, continued to be stupid and get caught again. He saw an opportunity to use the guy in order to better himself.

Pfft, plea bargain. The man bet his life. Nobody likes a welcher.

Braun is a man of honor, integrity, class, dignity, and professionalism, so this shouldn't be an issue. I'm sure the Brewers will look after his widow and kids.

He saw an opportunity to use the guy in order to better himself.

I resist the idea that the collector is some sort of victim here. He messed up and gave Braun the opportunity to use his screw up to get off.

I know that people **** up and that's fine, but when your job directly affects the livelihood, career, and reputation of other people you just can't. There's protocol for a reason, and considering the importance of the job if you mess it up it is a really big deal.

To lie to simply cover your own *** is one thing. It's not good, but not nearly as bad as attempting to ruin people in the continuance of the lie.
