I don't understand that at ALL. I have NEVER, EVER seen that before in a game.
Jawing ALL the way around the bases, McCann stopping him before home plate. Just...wow.
And then they don't eject Gomez for instigating the whole thing, but eject Freeman for who knows why.

According to the Brewer's announcers , the braves started all of this. I only saw highlights. Normally a little showboating is cool but what the hell is wrong with Carlos Gomez?

The Braves didn't start anything.

Gomez and Maholm had history from when Maholm was with Chicago. Gomez was staring down Maholm from the moment he came up. He hit the homer and immediately launched into his act, continuing to stare Maholm down. As he was rounding first, Freddie told him in no uncertain terms to shut the **** up, stop being a piecea**** and keep running. Gomez kept jawing, at Freeman and Maholm. As Gomez was running to third he pointed to his knee which, I guess because Maholm hit him in his knee as part of their history. Then Gomez was coming in and McCann met between third and home.

anyone watching the ESPN game? They were all mocking that fan when he couldn't catch the foul, and just when you think he couldn't do any worse... he does something like that... and totally redeems himself!
