Cohen's got so much money, he could give every current Met a ''Bonilla'' contract, and still have enough money to purchase the Nets & Jets & no regrets. suddenly, the Yankees are the ''poor'' team in NYC. IMO Cohen is more worthy of the Steinbrenner name than Baby Hal. for the Mets, happy days are here again and so are dancing days also as well too

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I've been as big a critic of Rob Manfred as anyone the last 2-3 years but I just realised with the exception of the Tigers and Cardinals playing 58 games, every other team got their full 60 games in. I really doubted any team would play more than 30, let alone get in what I consider an almost near classic World Series. any WS that goes 7 games I qualify as an instant classic and a 6 game series is an almost near classic.
anyways, kudos to MLB and tip-of-the-cap tooOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Nice to see Montoyo and Ryu named as finalists for manager of year and cy young.
I doubt Ryu wins, but Montoyo has a shot.
Yes its expanded playoffs and shortened season, but he still helped take one of the bottom teams in the league, a team with lots of rookies last year, and they became a team above .500.
Definitely a team who within a few years could be serious contenders for a WS.Comment

It was a little awkward that the White Sox tweeted out a congratulations to Renteria for being named a finalist.Boston Red Sox

Re: MLB Off-Topic
He finished 3rd each of the last 2 years. In 2018 Rays went from an 80 win team to a 90 win team (and 68 win team in 2016), but he lost out to Melvin whose As went from 75 to 97 wins and got a WC spot.
2019 the Rays made playoffs, with Twins and Yankees being tied for 1st place votes. Neither team finished 1st in the AL.
So in 2020, yes Rays are best team, but voting hasn't been friendly to #1 seed teams.
Going up vs Renteria whose Sox had 72 wins and then 2020 has a win% which translates to 94 wins per 162 games. And Montoyo whose Jays had 67 wins the year prior translates to 86 wins per 162 games the following year.
Those bounce backs often get more recognition than a team who was already one of the leagues best, getting even better.Comment
