    The NFL seems to manage.

And I'm saying that sarcastically. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the AFC West, the Dallas Cowboys are in the NFC East (even while the Rams were in St. Louis and still an NFC West team), and the Indianapolis Colts are in the AFC South despite being further north than the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals (both in the AFC North).

Though if the MLB wants to truly do that, just get rid of "American" and "National." Hell, they already want everyone to have the DH, so why not??

Again, I say this sarcastically. **** that.

The Wild Card was introduced and worked well to create a situation where we could avoid a problem of "well what if two great teams are in one division? Is it right one gets eliminated."

Three division winners. One wild card to fix that problem. And either way a series.

So what did they do? Expand playoffs, create two wild cards, give all the benefit to the second one who could be 10 games behind the other wild card *AND* make it a one game thing as if baseball is determined by one game like football?

And now people want even more teams and even more fake "contenders?"

Literally insane course of decision-making. But hey, if you wanna delegitimize the regular season even more than it ready has been.

Shh, it's okay... we're all hurting inside, I know. This may not seem like it helps, but it does. It does.

I wish this were the case. I was there(not throwing stuff on the field) and had to endure it in person. I won't say the umps didn't deserve some of the treatment they got that night.

Baltimore Orioles' Chris Davis retires, citing hip injury
Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has announced his retirement from baseball following a left hip injury that ended his season in May.

FINALLY! I know it's not right to celebrate someone going out because of injury but this dude literally handcuffed the team for years. He got his big money contract and NEVER put up the type of numbers afterwards. Always struck out and was constantly injured.

Couldn't be much worse then Andrew Heaney. Still don't understand that one.

With the field of dreams game happening, they're bring up a small debate.

Do you say "have a catch" or "play catch".

                        I've always said the latter.

Why is it that every time I see a pitch called a strike that isn't between the knees (but is actually in the zone), the batter almost always seems to rubberneck it, even when it's not all that borderline?

Are they actually believing the location of the pitch based on where the catcher caught it, and they're not using their eyes for where it actually crossed the plate?

I'd understand if the crowd or the dugouts can't see the strike for what it is, but this is a 95% occurrence thing that I notice. They almost always seem to not know their own strike zone and just trust what the catcher does.

Strangely enough, when I play I never stare a ball all the way in as to watch the catcher actually catch the ball, so I really see this as a foreign concept which I'll never understand.

How is this getting even worse? The details on that are just as sickening as the first. This is going into ‘he’s a total psychopath’ territory quick.
