Right after the release of the "different balls for different games report."

        That's a thing we're getting right?

Time for some slight offseason drama.

Buck Martinez says Pat Tablers contract wasn't renewed. Not Pats decision to step down/retire from Jays broadcasting after being on TV for a few decades.

Sounds like they kept Buck though, but who knows for how long, especially from a company (Rogers) that doesn't like anyone under their umbrella bashing the company.

The whole time they've been playing up the "Pat is leaving the broadcast booth" as if he retired.

I was looking over Acuna's career stats today and realized he came up in 2018...and has only played ONE full season. 2018 he came up late and only played 2/3 of the season. 2019 was his only "full" season. In 2020, COVID shortened season. 2021 injured and only played 1/2 the season. 2022 injuries limited him to ~2/3 of the season.

Maybe 2023 we'll actually see another full season from him...

Yeah he has all the potential in the world, but we haven't seen it out of him, luckily he came up young enough, IF he can stay healthy and start producing he's still on path for a HOF career. He has the potential to be more than just a HOF, but so have a lot of other guys.

I mean inner circle 95%+ first ballot kind of guy.

I would assume most of us feel there's an inner circle of all time greats and there are other deserving hall of famers. That's how I meant that.

"more than a hall of famer" - players like Ruth and Robinson and Clemente,
men who transcend sports, at least by my definition

hall of famer - Bill Mazeroski
which, by the way, if Maz is a HoF'er,
then Bobby Thomson belongs there too imo

I didn’t realize until a few years ago that the Brewers logo had an M and a B in it

20 years ago today (December 29, 2002) Cinergy Field, aka Riverfront Stadium is no more.

Other than for nostalgic purposes, GAB is definitely an upgrade and Riverfront/Cinergy is definitely not missed.

Did anyone go when part of the outfield was torn down in favor of construction for the new park? How was the park experience during that time?

New week/year means we're just 1 month (7 weeks to be more specific) away from baseball.
