Missing a lot of baseball because they decided to move the Caribbean Series away from Puerto Rico this year (to next year) and the World Baseball Classic (even with my strong reservations about the tournament even existent at all) to Miami. ****ing sucks.

The Orioles will decline an option to extend their Camden Yards lease by five more years, planning instead to secure a longer-term, more comprehensive stadium agreement, according to two people wit…

Not that I think the Os will move, but what's going on in the MLB? Between the forever saga of the As ans Rays stadium issues and now we see an actual ballpark with possible lease issues, the MLB hopefully gets these teams to sort things out asap. Can't keep having all these issues lingering.

The NBA jersey ads look great compared to this

Well any ads on uniforms are too intrusive but that is TOO intrusive!

As much as ads suck, I think people would be more ok with it if it doesn't take away from what you're looking at.

A patch on a jersey or helmet that blends in is fine. Not great either, but that's a decent compromise.

A patch on a jersey or helmet that sticks out like a sore thumb is bad.

Even hockey is getting that way with over the top ads. They've had ads on the boards for a few decades now, but this season they have digital ads which change every few seconds in the middle of play, and that distracts the viewers so much. Nothing wrong with the digital ads, but change them during breaks in play.

And sadly, that's already happening in MLB, but at least I think they have regulations. We don't see digital TV ads behind home plate changing in the middle of a Pitchers windup. I think they're only allowed changing them inbetween batters/innings?

                      Personally not bothered by it.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

The point of anyone paying for ads is to get attention and stand out.

Having an ad that just blended in would defeat the point of them.

yeah, I used to be bothered about the idea of it, but I've watched enough japan league baseball over the last several years, I got where I liked the uniqueness of it compared to the baseball I normally watch, I don't even think I'll notice it as much as those sponsors think it will. besides, I used to watch a lot of nascar and I was always okay with the ton of ads everywhere you look there lol

Yeah I don't love the idea of ads on jerseys but I do get it. There just is something that feels a little "sacred" (for lack of a better term) about a team's uniforms that makes putting advertisements on them feels a little intrusive.

I think I will get used to them. I actually didn't hate the D-Backs one. It is a little gaudy looking but at least the colors match a bit so it doesn't look terrible with the uniform.

Speaking of uniforms, Kansas City will be wearing new powder blue pants with their blue jerseys on Opening Day against Minnesota.
