It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The walls are becoming much higher too. Unless it's to straight away CF, you're not seeing anyone scale the wall.

So we'll either see more home runs, or more doubles. Probably both.

The Jays stadium badly needed upgrades.

The walls moving in is because of the new bullpens they're adding among many other things being done. Their OF was just a gap between the walls and seats

This offseason they literally ripped out the entire 500 level.

Replaced many 500 level seats with new ones which are wider and have air holes in them which makes them less hot to sit in.

The entire 500 level OF no longer exists. It's been replaced with patios/bars/restaurants. That part of the stadium was useless/non existent during most games of the season (only things like opening night, Canada day and any major game with sell outs are when those seats were in use).

100 level bullpens have been completely redesigned too. It's no longer just a fenced off area below all the fans, separated by a giant empty space, it's part of the 100 level outfield seating.

And next offseason they're replacing all the seats in the 200 and 100 level to make it face home place (something it never did before due to the Rogers Centre being a multipurpose stadium/football stadium).

I still hope they add another jumbotron to the 1B and/or 3B side of the stadium since the new seat angles will make it harder to see the jumbotron, which I know isn't the part that should be cared about as much, but when you want to see replays, see who's coming up next, watch breaks in play and so on, turning your body 90 degrees or more will be annoying.

Also hoping somewhere down the line they rip out the roof and add skylights and other things to it. Liven things up more instead of just having closed roof games feel too closed off with just a ceiling of steel beams.

Wow. That's a lot of work. When do they think all of it will be completed?

The OF stuff will be done this offseason (main reason Jays home opener is 2 weeks into the regular season. As much as they've done since October, there's still 2 months to go on it all)

The new seat angles will be done next offseason.

I really hope this makes it into MLB The Show. This is the biggest change the Jays have had since getting a new venue over 30 years ago. Won't feel right playing the game with an OF that looks nowhere as good as what this one will be like.

Whether the updates make it into the game this year will be the deciding factor on whether I use the Jays or not as my franchise.

I still cannot believe the automated strike zone didn't get passed by the MLBPA for this year. Lessening the impact of guys like CB Bucknor or Angel Hernandez is a no-brainer for me.

Firing them is a no-brainer for me.

That's unfair to take incompetent umpires as an example of why competent umpires should have their skill set be diminished.

I have no sympathy for the competent umpires, they’re part of the union that has enabled guys like Hernandez and Bucknor to stick around

Now we can say it (again).

The Montreal Expos officially have 0 active players left in pro sports.

I think there's still some wonky stuff with the tech that they'd like to get fixed before implementing it in big-league games.
