    Re: MLB Off-Topic

MLBN has the 1968 WS on.

I've never really seen a full on black and white baseball game (minus clips obviously), but it feels so weird watching.

Especially since the video quality at times just looks like something from the 80s or 90s but in black and white.

The same video randomly switched quality, and it looks more like 1960s black and white quality you'd expect. I wonder if MLBN remastered some of the clips but couldn't to other parts.

I don't intend on ever buying one of the Nike jerseys (especially with it on the chest), and if these other logos get added on I definitely won't be getting that either.

I wish it was just Majestic again, especially since they weren't known for anything outside of athletic wear and they had a much more subdued logo placement (sleeve and bottom of jersey where it gets tucked).

Jays apparently using this look in some capacity (maybe ST or batting practice?)

They haven't used or really acknowledged that era of Jays looks since that era. They went from there into the black jays era and forgot all about their past until a decade ago when they brought back their current look.

As much as their current/original look is good, I always liked that late 90s look too. The Delgado era.

            Here's something funny/sad/completely expected.

Joe West has allegedly been editing his own wikipedia page trying to remove all controversial moments on it.

So it seems that Bally/Sinclair thing is actually going down next week. It may even lead to some teams needing to cut costs during the season.

On one hand I hope this handles the whole mess with Regional Sports networks and baseball. Compared to other sports it's hard to watch for the average fan who doesn't have cable.

But also this looks like a huge mess that's impossible to fix lol and will probably create a whole bunch of new problems.

looks like next Monday, position players start joining pitchers and catchers

Any idea when the players that are in the WBC leave camp to join the WBC teams?

One weird rule change for the MLB this season is limiting when teams can put a position player to pitch.

Teams can only do so in the 9th if they're leading by 10+ OR anytime they're down 8+, or in extras anytime either.

Not sure the need for this rule.

It’s to prevent teams from throwing in the towel early to save pitchers for tomorrow’s game
