Moneyball was a perfect story adaptation of the book. Fantastic, well done movie.

Unfortunately, the book was flawed, but whatever. The movie was amazing. If you look in the beginning when Jonah Hill is talking and numbers are flashing on the screen, those numbers actually mean something. It's not like Big Bang Theory when they just write stupid basic equations. Those are actually advanced statistical concepts. You can see Pythagorean run expectancy. It's a nice, realistic touch.

Wish the book had mentioned the pitching more. Hudson/Mulder/Zito was deadly.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Easily the 2nd best pitching trio of my generation behind the Braves.

That's why Aces was written, but most people probably haven't heard of that book. It's too bad they couldn't figure out a way to incorporate it into the story.

I loved the book and read it several times over.

I was very reluctant to watch the movie because I didn't want to ruin the book (as most most book to movies do) but was so pleasantly please. I've watched the movie many times over.

I get Little Big League and Rookie of the Year mixed up. The one where the kid gets to manage the Twins is pretty good. And its the same kid in both flicks isn't it?

Hmm...they were good, but injuries/trades derailed them. IMO, the Phillies rotation from 2010-2011 was up there. Halladay, Lee, Hammels were only together for a short time, but man they were tough.

Along the lines of GM talk, Jerry Dipoto packed up his entire office and left the Angels facilitly today.

Yup. Apparently he and Scioscia were butting heads. Looks like Dipoto is gone. Crazy.

I read the full article on ESPN...looks like the GM gave Moreno an ultimatum and it back fired.

                                Again..
