Yes and similarly Matsui was celebrated for his 2500th hit and 500th HR.

Ichiro's stats are NOT being combined. At least not officially by MLB.

People started doing that with his hits when his MLB+Japan numbers were approaching Pete Rose's MLB record. No one worth taking seriously counts his stats in Japan the same as his MLB numbers lol.

The 3,000 hits people are talking about now were all in MLB.

That's what's so incredible, his MLB career was cut short by about 5 or 6 years.

I'd still like to see him in the HR derby seeing how he'd supposedly win it all.

Exactly one opposite field homer? Out of 113? Impressive.

Taijuan Walker optioned to AAA. Guess that K/BB wasn't that amazing after all

It's not performance based. Just a little rusty after a DL stint and gave up 6 runs in his start back.

So maybe T. Walker isn't quite worth Trout right now. But, he still has 8 or 9 Cy Youngs in him.

They would've just re-DL'd him and sent him on more rehab instead of using an option if that were the case

So Tim Tebow is gonna try is hand at Baseball... This should be interesting.

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is "actively pursuing" a career as a baseball outfielder and will hold a workout for MLB scouts …
