I didn’t see him getting another job, let alone the Giants.

Worked with FZ in LA. He's a guy that believes in analytics so he'll be the puppet for the front office.

At the 1:40 mark when Farquar steps off the mound and calls the catcher out you know he started to catch on to what Houston was doing.

                  That's some detestable ****.

But what do you expect from a franchise that lost on purpose and shat on legitimate competition for years upon years? It's clear they already threw integrity out the window.

I guess tearing down everything to bare bones and starting from scratch and implementing "analytics" entails this sort of thing.

Hey, I guess it works. But don't expect people to like it or continue to respect you. And don't get up in arms when people call you out on it, like Hinch did when the Yankees said so.

It's always something with the successful teams, I guess. The Patriots with like a billion things, the Spurs with their flopping and whining for fouls and corrupt officiating, the Lakers with their flopping and whining for fouls and corrupt officiating, etc.

Everybody falls out of favor. And everyone blames jealousy even though there are legitimate reasons to hate those franchises (and more).

I was really hoping someone would pick Brad Ausmus. Even though he probably under-achieved with 2014 Detroit, I thought he did an admirable job in LA considering it was only one year and couple that with the Tyler Skaggs tragedy. but you cant blame the Angels wanting a splash name at the helm with Trout in the middle of what should be his prime years. I doubt the Pirates are thinking of Ausmus, but I hope so

This is awesome. I got to meet him at an alumni event a few years ago. Really nice guy and a cool guy to talk about baseball with.

crazy to think manager of the year has only been around since 1983. if they gave out awards retroactively in years where they didn't have said award (like rookie of the year pre-WWII or Cy Young pre-1950's) I'd think HoF manager Frank Selee would have been most likely to win a manager of the year award w/o playing professional ball. heck, even Connie Mack played professionally so you know you're hard pressed to find managers that didnt play pro ball, which makes Schildt's accomplishment even more impressive.

Watched some of that press conference and all I could do was laugh. Same garbage he said in Philly. Giants fans are in for some annoying excuses and completely dumb post game conferences.
