I love John Smoltz no matter where he is. In the studio, at the game, love listening to that guy.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Im curious to see if Baltimore ever decides to shop Adam Jones. Dude is 29 yrs old making 13Mill a season and is hitting .343 6hr 25 RBI for the season. They lost alot of key players in the offseason so if there far enough back in at the half it could be a tempting piece for a teamComment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Anyone else notice the tag when you buy some MLB gear stuff has some old logos on it?
It's weird, I bought a shirt not too long ago and on the mini cardboard tag that's attached to the shirt it has all the MLB logos and stuff. Has all the newest ones like Jays,Marlins,O's and so on. Funny thing is when I looked lower down on that tag, it also has the old Padres logo(during Gwynn days) and more surprisingly, Montreal Expos lol.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Logically, yes...but with how these matters are handled in the NFL and the league's pressure to conform to society, I would think MLB would tread lightly and fold at the least bit of media intensity. I think the fact it's a relatively unknown MiLB player may "hide" him for ATL to wait how the court proceedings shake.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Todays the day. Montreals mayor meeting with commish! If he's going into the meeting with plans for a stadium, then that'd be real great sign, since that was the main thing that was stated as to what Montreal would need to assure MLB for them to consider having a team back there.
That's more generous than what most other sports seem to say to any city wanting a team. Most other sports seem to say that a city must already have a proper stadium/arena in place and everything to even be considered. All MLB seems to want right now is just PLANS on a new stadium. All MLB wants is plans right now, and if Montreal has the assurance that if they build the stadium, they get a team, I don't see how that won't be happening. Just provide MLB with the stadium plans, see what they think, and hopefully in the future we'll hear Montreal is getting a team once their stadium is complete!Last edited by Majingir; 05-28-2015, 11:24 AM.Comment
