    And that's fine.

If you get the ball and want to keep it I have no issue with that.

But I find ransoming the ball sickening.

I posted this in the deadline thread but Hart can't be that good, right?

Guy was a 1st rounder last year...why is Arizona giving him up for a backup/utility infielder like Gosselin, a guy on our DL right now?

EDIT: Arroyo is due $9.5MM this year and has a $4.5MM buyout next year. I'd say $14MM is worth an A or B+ potential pitcher. Still a bit odd, given Arizona has a fairly sizeable TV deal to work that money around. Like the risk/reward by Hart.

Generally I agree, but I do enjoy when teammates hold them for ransom and give the guy a list of demands. To me, that's all in good fun.

But when fans demand ****, no.

I don't know why Arizona cares so much about payroll right now. Stupid.

You realize he is a pitcher right? And he is going to be decent. With these grades:

Yes, my post about the reserve infielder is referring to the fact that we gave up a reserve infielder (Gosselin) to get a pretty decent prospect.

Ah I thought you were talking about Touki because I think he was one of those SS/P in high school.

Melissa Mayeux becomes the first female to join the International Registration List. 16 y/o SS from France, she is said to have little chance of being signed next month. It would be interesting to see her get signed.

Darryl Hamilton of MLB Network found dead in Houston.

Darryl Hamilton, an ex-baseball player who was working as an MLB Network analyst, is dead after an apparent murder-suicide at his Houston-area home, the Houston Chronicle is reporting.

Eerily similar to the Steve McNair situation. Sad. He was one the few analysts I enjoyed on MLBN.

Very sad. Seemed that he really enjoyed his new life as an analyst.

J.A. Adande tweeted out a photo of Hamilton and his two boys that was posted on Facebook yesterday. And I see the wacky bitch killed him with their 14 month child in the home. What a sad story all around.

Jeez...what a tragic story. R.I.P. to Darryl Hamilton. I thought he was a solid analyst who didn't go to extremes one way or another and when he brought up his career it was usually in a context of explaining things or making it easier to understand rather than gloating.

As for Pete Rose.....Well let's just say the door to him being reinstated just closed on him.

If even a portion of that is true... wow, Pete is done.

Shocking something like this would come out right before the All-Star game in Cincinnati. Shocking, I tell you.
