Wow! That's what this award has come to... Losing team performer & only 21 total wins in two years. I would have gave it to Strasburg.

There's a growing thread on reddit that has at the current moment 14 separate games where fan of other teams have scoured the footage and found the same evidence. Including the 7th pitch if their first game of the year against the M's.

Somebody has to get banned from baseball for this. AJ Hinch and members of the front office knew and planned this, signed off on it, and won a WS in part because of this. Heads have to roll but we'll have to wait and see if Manfred has what it takes to firmly put this down.

This happened in 2017, but we are hearing it now in 2019.

            100 years after Shoeless.

Maybe it is time to bring the dead penalty again.

Say it ain't so Hinch, say it ain't so doesn't have the same ring to it.

Not sure Manfred is aware of the potential scandal he may have at hand.

You know, earlier in the playoffs I noticed a live-feed monitor in a dugout, and wondered why this would be allowed for that very reason (plus replays). Didn't seem like it should be allowed in there at all. Don't know when screens started going in there.

I saw that as well and was surprised; I thought those were definitely not allowed. MLB is going to end up cracking down on all technology and these guys are going to lose their IPads and be back to big note books.

Disappointed in the Astros and anyone else who did this or encouraged it. Stealing signs is part of baseball, but there is a certain line of sportsmanship that shouldn’t be crossed. Using video like this feels like downright cheating instead of strategy or pouncing on a team’s weakness, like a pitcher tipping his pitches. Just doesn’t feel right.

Seems like Houston felt it was above board because of how openly they communicated it. Some sort of loophole they found? I’m sure they’ll come forward with some lame excuse when we all know, especially in baseball that has all sorts of unwritten rules, that there’s a line and you play within the spirit of the rules and game.

I’ll never be in to stripping teams of wins or whatever, and I don’t know who would catch the L in the form of a suspension / expulsion, but as a fan it just makes their success a little less impressive. Dirties them up a bit. And makes them villains, and not in the same way as a lot of people look at NYY as the evil empire where you at least respected their play, but villains because you know they played dirty and got an edge because of it.

Really makes the Nationals taking them down feel much sweeter. Scherzer and Strasburg’s performances much more impressive. Beat em with a hand tied behind their back. Slayed Goliath with a busted slingshot and plastic rocks. Hell yeah.

I'm sure Manfred is well aware.

What he chooses to do? That's another story...I'd expect maybe a loss in draft picks and a hefty fine.

Our insistence on switching signs so much makes a lot of sense now considering Beltran was in our front office.

The monitors in the dugouts are on a delay. (In fact I think all presentations are). Manfred mandates it a few years ago when whispers of this stuff started to pop up.

So the Astros are like Soviet Russia or some ****?

Funny thing is all the sign changing efforts take more time cuz there's more mound visits and whatnot and makes the game longer.

                              Rob Manfred, lol.
