Yup....it's okay for Kyrie to go to Barclays and watch the game from the stands.

But he can't play in the game. Or apparently, go into the locker room because the city of New York levied a fine against the Nets for that.

You’re aware that they’re already doing it for everyone, right?

The issue is that none of it has anything to do with “the science” like the Mayor has been saying for the last few months. It’s all optics at this point. Regardless, I’m glad it’s getting more attention now and it’s not just Nets Fans seeing how silly that rule is.

Unvaccinated VISITING players can play, but HOME team players currently on the Nets, Mets and Yankees cannot play.

Knicks and Rangers too, all of our players just got vaccinated so it’s not an issue.

They’re already talking with the City and the Mayor already confirmed that we’ll know something by opening day.

I still think at the end of the day, an exemption will get made for all Pro Athletes, similar to what they did in Philly and Boston over the last few months.

You might be right but, think of all the people that have already lost their jobs due to this.
Police, Medical, just people in general.
I think this being lifted would be a bad move now.
I think everyone should have the right to make their own decisions on what they decide to put in their bodies but making an exception for pro athletes is wrong when other common folks have had their world turned upside down.

Hence why I say it’s optics, even though he’s saying that he’s “following the science” which is weird.

They just had 1400 people get let go for refusing to get vaccinated a month ago so doing it now, would be a bad look so I get it.

Other than that, there’s no reason for that mandate to remain in place especially when you’re already allowing vaccinated/unvaccinated people to be in the same area with no mask and you’re already allowing unvaccinated entertainers(Athletes and other non Athletic Performers)to be in these venues in the first place.

It is funny how quick the Mayor’s tone on this switched up though.

And if only this were the actual case.

But it is what it is.
