What's this? No Pirate fan is keeping track of game 1 of the double header? I guess I'll post up to date then.

Pirates have a 6-1 lead after putting up a crooked number in the third inning i believe, I'm sure you Pirate fans will welcome Alvarez, he hit a grand salami. Nice to see Ollie have a lead, he's has eight k's and still going strong. He should be able to get pass the sixth inning.

I'll add to this before I go out tonight. Perez still mowing 'em down. 11 K's through 7 Simply amazing watching this guy pitch. Uh oh....... Lloyd and the team Dr. are going out to check on Oliver. Looks like he might have a blister. Announcers are stating that the blister occured in the 1st inning and he's staying in the game right now so it must be minimal. Looks like this will be his final inning.

Jack Wilson also hit an inside the park HR last inning. And moronic fans haven't voted him into the All Star Game.

I hope the blister doesn't take him out for too long, he and Peavy are a key part of my fantasy team.

I voted for Wilson, who won it? If it was Renteria, then poo, it was only for reputation, if it was for Everett, then Houston fans really want the NL to lose because he's not even the best the league has at short .

Well I guess I'm not going to the bar as early as I thought!!

Rag - They showed the blister and it looked somewhat big. It was on his middle finger, right at the tip. After the team Dr. checked on it, Ollie got the next out by K with a 96 MPH heater. It didn't look to effect him, but we'll have to see.

Here's the all star voting results: Link

I don't think these are final, but I'm not sure what else they have to add. Looks like Jack's in 4th place, but obviously WAY behind Renteria (#1) and Everett (#2). Renteria and Everett are 6 votes apart!!!

What a joke, 9 Astros? WTF is Brad Ausmus doing there? Ensberg? Burroughs is having a better season than him. Alomar? All-Star voting is a joke. "Vote 25 times" yeah... that works...

Johnny Estrada should be above Ausmus, Ausmus can't even hit. I'd rather have Thome there than Pujols right now, Kent is a lock but the players behind him aren't better than Loretta. Shortstop, what's Matsui doing third? If a .250 guy can have a shot at it, then where's Khalil? And Adam Everett, he shouldn't even be listed there, he's batting .270, points below Wilson. Third base I have no problem there outside of Ensberg, OF is good.

Good thing pitchers can't be voted in, I'd bet you'd see just about every Astro pitcher in the list.

As for Ollie, I'd rather have him 100% mowing down batters than him being wild because of the blister, take some time for it to heal.

Rag - Man, your former Padres are really putting a hurting on the Brewers tonight. First Ollie goes out and dominates and now Jason Bay is having an amazing game. 3 2B's, 1 HR and 8 RBI's. I wasn't thrilled with the Giles trade when it happened - since Giles was one of my favorite players - but the more I see of Ollie and Bay, I think "Giles who?".

Now that my bar night got cancelled (my girlfriends sister turned 21 and she already got sick by the time I was going to get there so I cancelled!!), it's been a joy to watch the Pirates playing exceptional ball right now.
