Legal or illegal, it's all about INTEGRITY, Blzer. It gives him an unfair advantage over the rest of his peers on the field.

Is it wrong? Of course. He knows this and everyone else knows this. Why can't you play the game right and not use substances to help out your game?

If he has supposed "God-given ability" he and everyone else raves about, why in the world did he have to use HGH or whatever legal/illegal substances?

Like I said before, it's not fair and it's not ethical. It hurts not only his image, but the game's and his father's and Mays' images.

Why would it hurt his father and Mays' images you ask? They are/were the ones endorsing this supposed "baseball god".

Fact of the matter is, in 50 years no one will be talking about Barry's personality or be accusing him of taking roids. It's been said Babe Ruth was a total jackass and a racist but does anyone talk about that? No, they talk about what he did on the field.

I know I'm biased being a Giants fan but I'm sure he is not taking roids. I mean look at this season. He'd have to be ******** to take roids before this season due to all the controversy surrounding him. But look at the insane numbers he's putting up.

Roids or no Roids, despite the what he had to say about Petco Park (with his bitterness), he's a great player. If he's clean and he gets that record, then congrats to him. All this stuff about Bonds, roids, him being a jerk (Which he's not IMO, showing respect to Peavy before he got taken out of the game, giving him a wink and a pat after the hitter behind him managed to hit into a double play).

There's one thing you can't take away from him, and that's his short sweet swing, something I fear seeing each time my team plays him.

Okay, he MAY be taking steroids, he MAY be taking illegal substances, he MAY be taking LEGAL substances, he may be taking NOTHING but his vitamins and minerals and everything else the body needs, but whatever he is/isn't taking, you can't say that his swing or bat speed has dramatically improved, or just basically improved for that matter. It has always been so short and fast, he just got stronger is all, so he can put more out. Not that he's really putting them out much farther, but he's putting them out more often.

Anyways, what I'm trying to get at is, if you take steroids, and IF you take steroids (I'm not talking about image or appearance here), you think that it's a little improvement, maybe about 8% stronger arms or so, a little faster bat speed? No, steroids are a BIG difference. Statistics show that if you take steroids, you will improve your bat speed by 50% AT LEAST! Well, like I said before, Bonds' bat speed didn't dramatically improve, so to say that his bat speed has been twice as good since 2000 or so, then I'd like to advise you guys to not speak. Don't mean to be rude when I say that, I'm trying to think of a better way to say it right now as we speak, but as of now that's what I said.

But yeah, steroids are a big difference people... about 6 to 7 times more than having a corked bat in Colorado with the wind blowing out to straightaway center.
