I'm looking forward to seeing Jose Capellan, who almost made the Braves out of spring training. He's got a 100+ mph fastball and has been dominating the minor leagues. He'll probably be called up when the rosters expand in September.

The Cardinal's "Catcher of the Future" was called up today and started tonight in Pitts. Yadier Molina is the brother of Angels Bengie and Jose and is supposed to be a great defensive catcher, and he brought his bat this year as well. It'll be interesting to see what happens if he plays like he did tonight during Matheny's stint on the DL. I don't think there could be a better mentor for defensive fundamentals than Matheny, so Molina may just make a name for himself in the next few years.

I havent' been that impressed with him when I've seen him down here. But he might be one of those guys that goes about his playing quietly and when you look back at the season you are like, "when did he have this kind of year?"Comment

Re: Minor Leaguer On The Move
David Wright (Mets)- IMO the best 3B prospect in the majors and definitely in the top 5 of all hitting prospects in the majors. Can hit for pop and average; great eye at the plate. Only 21 years old.
Matt Peterson (Mets)- probably a September call up for the Mets; great curve and low 90s fastball; very young for AA and has been pretty dominant
