    Scott Proctor

the one bright spot in our depleted system. He showed signs of talent last year throwing 99 mph an striking out Nomar with he bases loaded in a close game vs the Red Sox.

I am also looking forward to seeing Chien-Ming Wang who is supposedly really good as a SP... and Robinson Cano... our best postion prospect at 2B since we traded Eric Duncan.

Definitely Mark Rogers in the Brewers system. I'm a Sox fan, but I played against him two years ago, and even got an at bat (struck out obviously). He throws straight GAS. He hit 97 on the radar gun when the scouts came to check him out last year. He has a SICK swooping curveball as well that had so many kids diving out of the box when he played us. He was completely dominant. He got drafted straight out of High School here in Maine last year, and I think he'll be a bigtime player in the majors in a few years barring any injuries.

There is also an article about him I believe in Baseball America magazine (I can't remember if that's what the magazine is called, it was at my friends house). It has articles on the best prospects on each team, and they regarded him highly.

EDIT: Here's a profile I just found on him you guys should check out: http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerP...o?playerId=695

Russ Adams, for sure. Hopefully he is able to have a good year in Toronto both with the bat and glove. Anything is an improvement over last year's Woodward/Gomez combo at SS. With Delgado gone, they'll need production from every part of the lineup, and definitely didn't get that from the SS position in 2004.

Also, Gustavo Chacin looked very sharp in a couple starts late last year (one against the Yankees, I believe), so he may be around this season too.

Seinfeld Season 4 .. out on DVD May 17!

Re: Minor Leaguer On The Move

I attend about 60 minor league games a year, and have seen some nice players who look like complete studs once they'll hit the majors. All the guys below I have seen first hand, some several times, all in A ball. I know there are a lot of other talent out there, but I am only speaking on guys I've seen.

Michael Aubrey - Cleveland Indians - prettiest swing I've ever seen, yes, that includes Will Clark and Griffey Jr. Also a fantastic fielder. Going to be a great one

Larry Broadway - Washington Nationals - Saw him hit a ball out of our ball park onto the main road, roughly 500 feet. Came back the next at bat and hit one on top of the roof of the building behind right field. No clue on how good he'll really be, but those 2 back to back hr's were the most impressive thing I've ever seen, majors or minors

Delmon Young - Brewers or Devil Rays (played for Charleston, SC, don't remember the affiliate) but WOW, we all know about him being #1 overall, the one time I saw him play, I was blown away. He is the real deal.

Michael Bourn - Phillies - Hands down fastest human I've ever seen. He hit an inside the park Grand Slam against us last year... and the ball wasn't booted around or anything, he was just that fast. Almost ran over the guy on first though.

Jon Benick - Pirates - Yeah, another powerhouse, look out river!

Fausto Carmona - Cleveland Indians - has all the makings to be Pedro part 2...he won't be because he's in Cleveland, but he does have the makeup

Jake Blaylock - Phillies - Hank's little brother..err, little in age only. The guy is huge! Right hander, more power...yes, Philly you are loaded.

Yep it was the Yankees. He was impressive in the limited time we saw him. This does give me the opportunity to relate a funny story. So the guys at FAN 590's Morning Show fell in love with the name Chacin and started talking about how it should be the name of a perfume.

They have a weekly segment with JP and they floated that idea to him and even asked "hey would the Blue Jays sponsor Chacin perfume? Wouldn't it be great to give out 500 bottles of the stuff" etc etc. Obviously JP thought these guys were nuts because he said "uh sure yeah I guess so". It was priceless just hearing JP being bewildered by the morning show guys!

I wish I had an audio of it. Oh well I hope Chacin performs well but I'm really excited to see how David Bush does in '05.

Hanley Ramirez - I expect him to be moved from short to either second or centerfield, depending on where the Red Sox have the most need and where he performs best. He has the tools to be an MLB starter and we'll probably get a look at him in September. Realistically, he won't be copeting for a job at the MLB level until 2006 when either Bellhorn, Damon, or both are gone.

Jon Lester - a power lefty that people in the organization appear high on. Like Hanley, probably won't be seen until September.
