Re: Minor Leaguer On The Move

Hanley Ramirez - I expect him to be moved from short to either second or centerfield, depending on where the Red Sox have the most need and where he performs best. He has the tools to be an MLB starter and we'll probably get a look at him in September. Realistically, he won't be copeting for a job at the MLB level until 2006 when either Bellhorn, Damon, or both are gone.

Jon Lester - a power lefty that people in the organization appear high on. Like Hanley, probably won't be seen until September.

Manny DelCarmen...almost got to catch him in a high school all-star game if not for a rainout! Probably wouldn't have shown up anyway since he just got paid from the Sox after they made him their first selection in the second round.

From the Braves, Franceour and Marte. I think these guys could be the Joneses of the future.

I don't see Damon staying either. He is getting up there in age, and he just had his best year. I'm not too high on moving Hanley because of Edgar Renteria's $40 million contract that comes with a .728 OPS.

                  Let's see...I'm from Seattle...that's right....JAMAL STRONG!!

Nah, I want to see Felix Hernandez get called up sometime this year. He seems like he's our ace of the future.

Actually with Hank at 3B and Young at SS, theres talk about him moving to 2B, because he doesn't have the range for SS.

the one bright spot in our depleted system. He showed signs of talent last year throwing 99 mph an striking out Nomar with he bases loaded in a close game vs the Red Sox.

I am also looking forward to seeing Chien-Ming Wang who is supposedly really good as a SP... and Robinson Cano... our best postion prospect at 2B since we traded Eric Duncan.
                          Eric Duncan wasn't traded.

I'm interested to see what Matt Tuiasosopo can do. Also, I've been following Adam Jones since his high school days... he has an electric arm.
